Workers decrease sharply
According to the survey, in Hoa Phu Industrial Park and Tan An Industrial Park (Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province), the number of workers is on the decline.
Ms. Tran Ngoc Diem (Cu M'Gar district) shared: "In early March 2025, I decided to quit my job at a garment company in Tan An industrial cluster. Although the company pays me more than 8 million VND in salary and bonus per month, I still decided to quit my job. Because in the countryside, agricultural production now has a much higher income than working as a worker".
Ms. Diem's choice is also the opinion of the majority of workers after leaving their jobs in the two industrial parks and clusters mentioned above.
At the end of March 2025, KVD Vina Co., Ltd. (Tan An Industrial Park) only has about 1,800 workers. The number of workers decreased by 500 compared to the same period in 2024. The company needs to recruit 1,000 more workers to meet production needs and supply orders to partners in a timely manner.
Dak Lak Mac Luc Garment Company Limited has posted recruitment information in large quantities since the beginning of 2025, but the number of workers applying for jobs is still very small. Meanwhile, many workers have quit their jobs and returned to their hometowns to farm to be closer to their families.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hue - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Mac Luc Garment Company Limited - shared: "In 2025, the unit plans to expand 1 more factory and hopes to recruit 1,500 workers. However, based on the current situation, recruiting more workers is very difficult. We have done everything we can but still have not found more people to produce orders to supply to partners."
Many options to retain workers
In the face of the above situation, many foreign enterprises in Dak Lak province, in addition to posting recruitment information, have also introduced many attractive treatment regimes to attract workers. In particular, units improve the quality of shift meals, pay insurance, pay high salaries, increase allowances when working overtime...
Ms. Tran Thi Dung - human resources manager of KVD Vina Co., Ltd. - said: "To retain employees to work, our company has been implementing many different approaches. In particular, the company improves the quality of shift meals, adding break time between hours to make workers feel comfortable. Those who work overtime and productively will be rewarded with the efforts they have put in. Thanks to that, some people earn up to more than 15 million VND per month".
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center, in March 2025, the unit provided job and career counseling to about 3,500 people and organized job fairs as planned. The center also provides labor market information to about 1,350 units, enterprises and workers.
In the coming time, the unit will promote job introduction and vocational training support for unemployed workers in a timely and compulsory manner. At the same time, the center will survey the labor market, introduce to unemployed workers reputable enterprises with high salaries to stabilize their lives.
