Difficulty in retaining workers
From manufacturing and service enterprises to high technology enterprises, they are all stepping up recruitment with tens of thousands of targets at the end of the year. Recorded at the job fairs in mid-August, the atmosphere of looking for human resources is getting more vibrant than ever.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, Head of Recruitment Department of Nhat Viet Security Service Joint Stock Company, said that the company is in need of recruiting nearly 200 security guards nationwide with salaries ranging from 6 to 15 million VND/month. The enterprise also has a policy of supporting housing for personnel living far away.
"In terms of quantity, we are recruiting continuously and recruiting a lot. Partly due to the number of over-aged staff that customers request to replace. Another part is due to personnel changing jobs or quitting their jobs. This rate also falls to about 25%," Ms. Huong shared.
Although the company fully ensures the regimes according to labor law such as social insurance, health insurance, periodic health check-ups and holiday and Tet bonuses, retaining employees is still a difficult problem.
This situation does not only happen to unskilled workers. Even in the technology field, finding candidates suitable for business culture is not easy. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Huy Cong, Director of Partnership Development, VietPay Technology Company Limited, said that the company has just received an investment capital of 5 million USD and is looking for personnel according to the principle of practical work.
"We encourage employees to go out of the market, grasp and learn about partners. This is different from regular financial businesses, where employees mainly work in offices. Many candidates still expect a stable administrative job, so we have a relatively difficult time finding the right person," said Mr. Cong.
Solve difficulties with online connection
According to records, online job fairs between provinces jointly organized by the Hanoi Employment Service Center and localities have become an effective bridge. This form not only helps workers and businesses save costs and travel time but also completely eliminates geographical barriers. Hundreds of businesses and tens of thousands of workers across the country have had the opportunity to approach each other quickly and effectively.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, commented: "In the context of digital transformation applications, online transaction sessions help businesses and workers almost no longer have a gap. We can make the most of resources and save costs for both supply and demand. Recruitment data, information about positions and benefits are widely shared, helping the labor market get much closer together".
Mr. Thanh also said that the third quarter is a golden time for businesses to increase production, preparing for the year-end market. Therefore, the demand for recruitment, especially unskilled laborers and workers in industrial parks, is very high. Online connection sessions are a powerful tool to help solve the human resources problem for the peak production season, while opening up many job opportunities for workers across the country.
