Thousands of job opportunities
Currently, MSV Company Limited (Phu Bai Industrial Park) is facing a labor shortage. Mr. Le Quy Hoang - Chairman of the company's Trade Union - said that the unit is recruiting according to the motto "as much as you have, receive as much". Although many preferential policies have been applied such as quarterly bonuses, salary increases, vocational allowances, etc., the new labor force has not met production needs.
The average income of employees at MSV currently ranges from 7.5 - 9 million VND/month, including basic salary (5.05 million VND), products and allowances. The Board of Directors is considering adjusting the basic salary increase to retain workers in the context of many young workers switching to labor export or self-employed.
Not only MSV, the situation of "thirsty" for labor occurs in most industrial parks in the area with a series of banners and recruitment posters.
SCAVI Hue Company currently needs 1,500 sewing workers, ready to receive unskilled workers, provide free training and pay a vocational training salary of nearly 3.9 million VND/month. After starting a job, workers can earn more than 8 million VND/month. Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company needs to recruit 150 more skilled garment workers in addition to more than 4,000 existing workers, with salaries ranging from 6.5 million - 9.5 million VND/person/month along with many good policies for workers.
Similarly, HBI Hue Company is recruiting 500 more workers, in addition to the existing 6,000 workers. In addition to competitive income, the company also supported 1.5 million VND for new employees away from home, supported sewing staff, and rewarded introducers. Despite high demand, businesses still face difficulties in recruitment.
Promoting the role of trade unions
At CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Hue Branch, the automatic weighing and packaging system helps each shift only need 2 workers instead of 20 as before. Phu Hoa An Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company also thanks to the automatic fabric spinning system that significantly saves human resources and production time. The Hue City Employment Service Center is actively organizing job exchanges, propagating recruitment information and acting as a bridge between businesses and training facilities.
According to Mr. Le Minh Nhan - Chairman of the Hue City Labor Federation, the trade union not only takes care of the material and spiritual lives of workers through programs such as: Union Meal, Legal Consulting, Skills Class, but also contributes to policy proposals, improving the working environment, and improving welfare at enterprises.
"When employees feel cared for, protected, and have a stable life, they can feel secure in sticking with it for a long time. That is the core factor for businesses to retain workers" - Mr. Nhan emphasized.
Mr. Le Minh Nhan affirmed: Although the apparatus is streamlined, the work of caring for workers is not interrupted but is also promoted and implemented more substantially. We identify that the trade union must be a solid support for union members and workers.
The reality at grassroots trade unions shows that trade union activities are increasingly in-depth, methodical and suitable to the actual situation. During working sessions with enterprises such as Billion Max Vietnam Export Company Limited, Kim Long Motors Hue Joint Stock Company, SCAVI Hue Company Limited... The Hue City Labor Federation promptly grasped the concerns of union members and workers, thereby removing obstacles and proposing appropriate solutions to ensure their legitimate rights.
In addition to professional support, the Hue City Labor Federation also focuses on training and improving the capacity of union officials, especially in the context of many changes in organizational models and management methods. Building grassroots democracy regulations, ensuring salary, insurance, welfare regimes, etc. is considered a key and regular task in the grassroots trade union development strategy.
