On April 17, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Kien Giang province received support of VND6 billion from Thai Binh Kien Giang Joint Stock Company for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Mr. Cao Thanh Luong - Deputy General Director of Thai Binh Group - representative presented the symbolic board to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang Province Le Thanh Viet said that the program supports the eradication of temporary houses and dilapidated houses to create conditions for the poor to have a stable place to accommodate, contributing to more firmly to strengthen the new rural construction criteria of the province; Strengthen the close relationship between the political system and the people.
The meaningful and practical movement should receive the attention, support, and active participation of all classes of people, social organizations, businesses, and functional agencies.
Mr. Viet also informed that Kien Giang province has started construction of a total of 2,799 apartments, of which 2,314 were newly built and 485 were repaired.
To complete the progress before April 30, the province also continues to mobilize resources from business communities, especially businesses that have committed to funding to ensure the completion of the plan in April 2025 and expand to disadvantaged households that need housing support in the next phase.
