Spreading with practical benefits
According to Dr. Luong Trong Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the consistent spirit of this year's Workers' Month is to direct all activities towards union members and workers; taking businesses as the foundation, trade unions as the fulcrum to accompany, and the concern of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and people as the driving force for development.
One of the new points of Thanh Hoa Trade Union in Workers' Month 2026 is innovating leadership and direction methods in the direction of clear work, clear people, clear responsibilities and clear products. Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation has built a system of 22 specific targets, an increase of 12 targets compared to the plan assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is the basis for grassroots trade unions to strive, deploy and evaluate the effectiveness of implementation.
Along with that, the Provincial Labor Federation issued 3 plans, 5 guidelines, focusing on practical contents, close to the grassroots situation.
To date, the whole province has 8/10 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor achieved and exceeded the plan; 12/22 targets assigned by the Provincial Confederation of Labor achieved and exceeded the plan.
Thanh Hoa Trade Union also focuses resources on building new models for union members and workers. Prominent are the skilled worker contest model in response to the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; the legal advice team model; the worker cultural space model; the Party cell model in enterprises and the model grassroots trade union.
A notable highlight in Workers' Month 2026 is the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation's establishment of 6 provincial-level legal advisory groups with 111 members. At the same time, commune and ward trade unions are directed to establish legal advisory groups in their localities; grassroots trade unions in enterprises with 500 or more employees are guided to establish legal advisory groups at the grassroots level.
According to Dr. Luong Trong Thanh, consulting groups contribute to supporting dialogue, negotiation, and handling problems right at the source, preventing labor disputes, and stopping collective work early and remotely.
From "provincial development" to "active grassroots
Workers' Month 2026 creates a synchronous movement throughout the system, spreading creative labor emulation, practical care and accompanying the resolution of workers' needs. The effectiveness of Workers' Month 2026 is clearly shown through specific figures. The whole province has supported 11 "Trade Union Homes" with a total amount of 455 million VND; awarded 364,739 gifts to union members and workers with a total budget of more than 122.794 billion VND. By the end of Workers' Month 2026, trade union levels have introduced 643 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and training; of which 340 union members were admitted to the Party.
