Improving living and working conditions for workers
For many years, the "May Dialogue" Program - one of the activities of Workers' Month organized by the Trade Union has been a highlight, attracting the attention of workers and society. In the 2024 Workers' Month, to prepare for the 2024 Meeting and Dialogue Conference with the Capital's Workers' Union, the Hanoi City Labor Federation received over 600 opinions and recommendations from workers and trade unions.
In Workers' Month 2025, the "May Dialogue" Program continues to be organized by trade unions at all levels. Trade unions at all levels will advise, propose, and coordinate the organization so that heads of Party committees, authorities at the same level, and employers can contact and dialogue with union members and employees in accordance with actual conditions. Trade unions at all levels advise Party committees at the same level to organize the Forum "Party with workers - workers with the Party" before the Party Congress at the same level to listen to and resolve workers' problems; absorb and implement the Party's instructions...
At the 10th Conference of the 13th term of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Party Central Committee member, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang concluded that immediately after the conference, the Plan to organize activities for Workers' Month in 2025 will be issued.
Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that in recent years, in order for trade unions at all levels to be proactive and focus resources on effectively implementing the activities of "Workers' Month", the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has soon issued a plan. 2025 is the year of many important activities and events of the country; the second year of implementing the Resolutions of Trade Union Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union Law takes effect, so the activities of Workers' Month have more and more profound meanings; the activities need to be more and more substantial, effective, creating a spreading force and a festival for union members and workers.
The program "Creative workers, confidently entering the new era"
Workers' Month 2025 has the theme "Vietnamese working class: pioneering in entering a new era". In particular, the "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era" program will create conditions for union members and employees to express their ideas, initiatives, and technical solutions to innovate the production process.
The program "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era" is organized with activities such as "Creative Labor Festival", competitions to propose ideas, initiatives, and technical solutions to innovate production processes; saving raw materials, fuel, time, and labor; new methods, good models in modern corporate governance; content and methods of trade union activities at the grassroots level. Workers with achievements in labor, production with many initiatives and creativity; achieving high achievements in skilled worker competitions... will be honored.
To contribute to the workers entering a new era, Workers' Month is also a peak occasion for the Union to organize propaganda activities, mobilize union members and workers to study, improve their skills; cultivate the courage to innovate working style, improve integration skills.
In addition, continue to effectively implement emulation movements to improve qualifications, professional knowledge and skills; encourage union members and employees to innovate, have many initiatives, improve techniques, apply modern technology to production, contribute to increasing labor productivity, work efficiency, and improve business efficiency.
Workers' Month 2025 is associated with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, 139 years of International Labor Day and 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, and at the same time welcomes the Party Congresses at all levels and the Month of Labor Safety and Hygiene Action. Outstanding with the activities "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era", "May Dialogue", Forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party", "Thank you to workers", Peak month for developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and promoting awareness raising. The goal is to achieve 55% of enterprise grassroots unions and 35% of grassroots unions of administrative agencies and public service units with at least 1 corresponding activity.
