Businesses need to recruit thousands of workers
ADORA Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tam Diep Industrial Park, Tam Diep City, Ninh Binh) is currently in need of recruiting more than 1,000 workers to complete signed orders during the year as well as expand the company's production activities.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Tam - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - said that currently, in order to complete orders on schedule, in addition to recruiting more workers, the company has to increase the number of workers by 1 - 1.5 hours per day. Recruiting workers is very difficult at present, partly because of the large number of recruitments, partly because this is the end of the year, so workers do not want to change jobs. Everyone wants to work steadily to get a bonus at the end of the year.
“Although the company has offered many incentives such as workers receiving official salaries as soon as they enter the factory... However, recruitment has encountered many difficulties. For more than a month now, the company has only recruited 200 people,” Ms. Tam shared.
Similarly, Great Global International Company Limited, (Gian Khau Industrial Park, Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh), is a company specializing in the garment industry. At the end of the year, due to increased orders, the company is in need of recruiting hundreds of additional workers, mainly unskilled workers.
Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - said that due to the nature of the garment industry, there is a situation of labor fluctuations. At the end of the year, in addition to rushing to complete previously signed orders, the company also signed many new orders, so the demand for labor is very high. "Currently, the number of orders for the last months of the year of the company has increased, but recruiting labor is facing many difficulties. For more than a month now, the company has only recruited about 70 workers" - Mr. Tuan shared.
Removing difficulties for businesses in recruiting workers
According to data from the Provincial Employment Service Center, in the last months of 2024, the labor recruitment needs of businesses, especially garment businesses, will reach thousands of workers.
To support businesses in recruiting workers, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ninh Binh province has directed the Provincial Employment Service Center to implement solutions such as announcing and posting information on businesses' recruitment needs on mass media so that workers in need know and register for recruitment, and at the same time, coordinate with neighboring provinces to support labor recruitment through inter-provincial job fairs...
Mr. La Thanh Tung - Director of the Ninh Binh Provincial Employment Service Center - said that the last months of the year are always the most exciting time for the labor market, because most businesses have to race against time to complete orders signed during the year, so the demand for labor recruitment is very high.
To meet the recruitment needs of businesses and create job opportunities for workers, from now until the end of 2024, Ninh Binh Provincial Employment Service Center will organize 2 job fairs.
For positions that require expertise, qualifications, and high skills, it takes a long time because these positions are often picky about who can fill them. As for ordinary workers, the Center only introduces them within 1 week and the business has recruited them and the workers have jobs.
"Instead of waiting for businesses to register recruitment information, now the Center's staff will proactively go to businesses to grasp information about labor recruitment needs and then advise and introduce them to workers in need," said Mr. Tung.
