On October 26, Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation announced that Nghia Dan Commune Labor Union had organized the 1st Commune Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, with the participation of 80 official delegates.
The Congress was attended by Comrade Hoang Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Work Committee; Mr. Tran Van Duong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nghia Dan Commune Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh An - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Dan Commune and representatives of local agencies and departments.
The Congress is an important milestone, affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the grassroots political system, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and creativity, taking union members and workers as the center.
With the determination to act with practical solutions, Nghia Dan Commune Trade Union aims to build a strong, modern organization, meeting the requirements of the digital transformation and integration period.
Currently, Nghia Dan commune has 80 grassroots unions with more than 2,600 union members, which are the core force contributing significantly to socio-economic development, maintaining political stability and building the great national unity bloc in the area.
According to the Political Report submitted at the Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, the Nghia Dan Commune Trade Union identified the consistent goal of innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots for union members and workers; at the same time, striving to build a team of professional, brave, intelligent, and dedicated union officials capable of applying digital transformation, proficient in using technology tools and artificial intelligence (AI, ChatGPT) software in operations and support for union members.
The Congress also identified three key breakthroughs including: building a team of union officials with intelligence, courage, responsibility, innovative thinking, creativity, strong application of digital transformation; promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on core contents such as employment, wages, occupational safety and hygiene; strengthening the gathering and mobilization of workers to join trade unions, building a strong organization, a reliable support for workers.
The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Nghia Dan Commune Trade Union, consisting of 8 comrades; Comrade Nguyen Thi Quyen was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Nghia Dan Commune Trade Union, term 2025-2030; and appointed 5 comrades to attend the 20th Nghe An Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
