Union members and employees of the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) contributed nearly 14 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods.

On September 21, Mr. Le Xuan Thai - Chairman of EVNSPC Trade Union - said that, in response to the damage caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) and floods to people in some northern provinces and cities, the General Director and the Standing Committee of EVNSPC Trade Union called on all union members and employees in the corporation to contribute to support people to overcome the consequences.

As a result, union members and employees of EVNSPC contributed 13,869,700,000 VND to join hands to support people in the Northern provinces affected by storm No. 3 and floods.

This is the amount of contribution of at least one day's salary calculated on the basic salary of union members and EVNSPC employees.

After receiving support, the units will allocate 50% of the total amount through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces, cities and localities where they are headquartered to visit and support people affected by storms and floods.

The remaining 50% of the units will be transferred to EVNSPC to collect and transfer to Vietnam Electricity Group for common use in group-level activities to visit and support people to overcome the consequences caused by storms and floods.
