On September 19, representatives of UEF leaders went to Lao Dong Newspaper's Permanent Office in Ho Chi Minh City to donate 50 million VND through the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund to join hands to help people in the northern provinces and cities affected by storms and floods to overcome the consequences.
Dr. Ho Vien Phuong - Vice President of UEF - said that when learning about the damage caused by storm No. 3 (Storm Yagi) and floods that caused severe damage to people in some northern provinces and cities, the school's leaders, teachers and students were very moved and the school's leaders quickly launched a fundraising movement to support people affected by storms and floods.
With the tradition and spirit of “mutual love and support”, the school’s leadership, teachers and students have contributed 500 million VND. This amount was given by UEF to a number of agencies and units to join hands to help people in the northern provinces and cities affected by storms and floods to overcome the consequences.
“The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund is a prestigious charity fund with many community support activities. Through the Fund, we want to share some of the difficulties of people affected by storms and floods and hope that people will soon stabilize their lives again,” Dr. Phuong shared.
The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund will quickly transfer the above amount to people in the northern provinces and cities affected by storms and floods to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
