Ms. Bui Kim Thanh - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Thuy Dac San Joint Stock Company (HCMC) affirmed her core role, effectively leading the dialogue and collective negotiation activities.
She was commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as the outstanding and typical grassroots Trade Union President in the period 2023-2025.
With nearly 30 years of attachment to the business, Ms. Thanh said she is very knowledgeable about production activities and the thoughts of workers.
In the position of Deputy Production Director, Workshop Manager cum Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, she proactively established a methodical and substantive dialogue mechanism.
In 3 years (2023-2025), the unit has organized more than 24 periodic dialogues and over 10 unexpected dialogues, attracting over 300 opinions from employees. Notably, the rate of resolution of petitions reached about 96%, many issues were handled immediately at the dialogue, without allowing hot spots to arise.
Not stopping at "listening", Ms. Thanh also directly "led" the collective negotiation process in a substantive and in-depth direction.
Under her chairmanship, the company's collective labor agreement was reviewed and amended with more than 25 clauses, of which over 80% of the content was more beneficial to employees than legal regulations.
This is one of the bright spots clearly showing the negotiation capacity and prestige of the trade union organization.
The negotiation results have brought specific and measurable results: the average salary of workers increases by 8-12% per year; average income reaches over 11-13 million VND/person/month; Tet bonuses are maintained at a level of 1.5-2 months' salary; meals are increased from 20,000 VND to 30,000 VND/portion.
In addition, workers are also supplemented with many welfare regimes such as support for unexpected difficulties, support for children to study well, periodic health check-ups to improve and improve working conditions at the workshop.
These telling figures not only reflect the effectiveness of negotiations but also show the "creative" role of the Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union in balancing benefits between businesses and workers.
Thanks to the results achieved from dialogue and negotiation, for many consecutive years, the unit has not had collective labor disputes, a stable working environment, and labor productivity has been maintained and improved" - Ms. Thanh said.
Besides her mark in trade union activities, Ms. Bui Kim Thanh has also continuously achieved many outstanding achievements in professional and Party work: many years as an excellent trade union member; in 2024 was recognized as an excellent management cadre; in 2025 as a party member who excellently completed tasks; in 2026 continued to successfully complete the task of leading workshops.
This is a solid foundation that creates prestige and spread in the workforce.
