To be trained and gain experience in emulation
The 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress, period 2025 - 2030 organized by EVN, took place on June 30. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Phan Van Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee; leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
The 2020-2025 period is a challenging journey but also marks outstanding achievements of EVN. With courage, dedication and the spirit of overcoming difficulties, EVN workers have made an important contribution to the safe operation and stability of the power system, ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development and people's lives.
They are workers who work day and night to closely follow the construction site, speeding up the progress of key power source and grid projects, with the total investment value of EVN in the 2020 - 2025 period reaching VND 513,945 billion. This effort has brought many projects to the finish line on schedule and ahead of schedule, notably the completion of the 500kV Line 3 Project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi - a miracle and pride of the Vietnamese electricity industry.
Representing advanced examples exchanged at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thien Hung - Captain of the Phu Lam Power Transmission Team (Ho Chi Minh City Power Transmission) - who directly commanded the construction site of the 500kV line 3 said that when assigned, the first thing is to ensure the safety of the power grid for his management while performing the new task.
The construction process encountered many difficulties. With his family in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Hung had to be away from home for more than 100 days. Overcoming each challenge with his teammates, Mr. Hung accumulated a lot of experience and affirmed: If there was a 4th circuit project, he would be willing to continue participating because he had been trained in courage, stance and practical skills.
The total strength of the coordination between trade unions and professionalism
Patriotic emulation movements in EVN are not only formal but truly become an endogenous driving force, promoting a sense of responsibility, creativity and solidarity throughout the group.
In particular, the "10 thousand initiatives" movement responding to the "1 million initiatives" program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has received strong response, exceeding the set target by 129%, contributing to improving production and business efficiency and labor productivity. Many useful solutions and initiatives have been applied, including 240 solutions/ initiatives recognized at EVN level.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dang Hoang An Group both affirmed the role of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and all levels of Trade Unions in organizing, launching and effectively implementing emulation movements.
In particular, Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized that the emulation movements launched by EVN not only spread strongly throughout the Group but also contributed significantly to promoting the common movements of the Vietnam Trade Union organization. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor especially appreciates the model of close, effective coordination and companionship between the professional and trade union organizations in the Vietnam Electricity Group - one of the typical models of promoting collective strength to implement practical patriotic emulation movements, associated with the task of production - business and caring for workers' lives.
Also at the Congress, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union launched the emulation period for the period 2025 - 2030. Accordingly, the General Director of the Group and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union launched an emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030 with 9 key contents.
