Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Hai Phong City Confederation of Labor - said that the City Confederation of Labor directs units to organize appropriate activities based on specific characteristics and actual situations to attract a large number of union members to participate, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in Workers' Month 2025.
According to the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, during the Workers' Month 2025, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation will launch the Peak Month for developing union members and establishing grassroots unions. Along with developing union members, Trade Unions at all levels focus on activities to care for workers' lives, focusing on negotiating and signing quality collective labor agreements, bringing greater benefits to workers. Specifically, trade unions at all levels strive to have at least 60 newly signed or re-signed collective labor agreements, of which at least 40 are of type B standards or higher.
The whole city has at least 2 direct superior trade unions deploying, negotiating and signing collective labor agreements for many enterprises. The City Labor Federation also developed a plan to provide funding to support the construction and repair of 30 "Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances; and provide subsidies to 2,000 workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1.5 million VND. At the same time, direct 95% or more of grassroots trade unions to respond to the program "Each grassroots trade union, one benefit for union members", in which at least 50% of grassroots trade unions of enterprises organize forums "Workers for enterprises - Enterprises for workers", forums " Strong Party - Pioneering Workers", "Millions of gifts - Thank you to workers" or "Workers for the community".
