In the hot sun of June, the workers' market at Ori Garden Social Housing Area (Hai Van ward) became bustling. In the simple shopping space, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong - a worker at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park - carefully checked the basket of goods including rice, cooking oil, spices and fish sauce.
“The house has two mothers and children, every expense has to be calculated from the beginning of the month. Knowing there is a market, I wait to buy essential goods again. Goods are clear, prices are stable, and I am also using shopping vouchers supported by the Trade Union,” she said.
Besides, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham chooses to buy necessities and school supplies for her children. After 8 years as a worker, she still has to balance her income of 7 million VND per month to cover living expenses.
According to many workers, the market not only helps them buy essential goods at preferential prices, but also shows the understanding of the Trade Union organization in the face of daily spending pressures. Rice bags, cooking oil bottles, and seasoning packages in baskets are proof of practical care, meeting the needs of union members and workers.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City Labor Federation - said: "The 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the 2026 - 2031 term, which has just been successfully organized, has opened a new stage of development, with the requirement to continue comprehensively innovate operations, putting union members and workers at the center.
Mr. Le Van Dai emphasized that the Mobile Workers' Fair 2026 is an activity to concretize the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress. With about 50 booths, the program provides many essential goods and products for life with guaranteed quality, preferential prices, discounts, and uniform prices, helping union members and workers shop more economically.
According to Mr. Dai, the series of activities taking place at the event with many practical contents such as training on stroke prevention and control for 200 grassroots trade union officials, a skill contest for good workers in the electronics industry, a worker's music night in coordination with the Da Nang City Youth Union and a launching ceremony of the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income".
I also hope that in the coming time, I will continue to receive the companionship and support of agencies, units, and businesses so that the City Trade Union organization has more conditions to better care for union members and workers" - Mr. Le Van Dai expressed.
From practical care programs, the Da Nang City Labor Federation is gradually building a humane working environment, where the Trade Union is a fulcrum, a reliable companion for union members and workers.
