No longer living in rented accommodation, teacher is happy to have a home at the Trade Union Shelter

For over 5 years, Thuc and his wife have rented a house to live and teach, but now they have a spacious and stable Trade Union Shelter.

On September 25, the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union organized the handover of the Union Shelter (donated by the Provincial Federation of Labor) to union member Tran Trong Thuc, residing in An Binh ward, Rach Gia city, belonging to the Kien Giang Vocational College Trade Union.

The house is worth 190 million VND, of which the Kien Giang Trade Union Shelter Fund supported 50 million VND; the school, colleagues, family and relatives of the union members contributed 140 million VND.

Union member Tran Trong Thuc shared that he is a vocational teacher and his wife is a kindergarten teacher. For over 5 years, the couple has rented a house to live and teach. Although their family life is difficult and tiring, they always try to complete their teaching tasks well.

“Thanks to the care, attention, and support from the Union at all levels, the school, and my colleagues, I am able to have a house like this. This is a great motivation for me to feel secure in my work, be passionate about my job, and continue to strive and do my best to complete the tasks assigned by the school,” Mr. Thuc shared.

At the house handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union congratulated and presented gifts to the union members for their new houses.

Mr. Hung also asked member Tran Trong Thuc to preserve, maintain and continuously renovate the house to make it cleaner and more beautiful, ensuring long-term use. At the same time, he encouraged and hoped that members would continue to make efforts, strive, overcome difficulties and obstacles, and successfully complete the tasks assigned by the school.

Since the beginning of the year, the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union has collected over 331 million VND from the Union Social Fund; spent 50 million VND/house to support the construction of 6 new Union Shelters for union members in difficult circumstances to improve their housing conditions and repair 1 house at a cost of 25 million VND.
