Taking advantage of difficulties for workers
Immediately after the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health, the Hue City Labor Federation visited and presented gifts to union members in special circumstances, who had work accidents or suffered from occupational diseases. In particular, the case of Ms. Tran Thi Loi - a union member of Scavi Hue Company - who had an accident and became paralyzed all over, was one of the typical cases that the City Labor Federation cared about and supported.
The Hue City Labor Federation has also started construction of a "Union Shelter" house for Ms. Pham Thi No - a union member of Huong Long Ward, a low-income person, raising two young children and renting a room. Ms. No emotionally shared: "Being supported with 60 million VND from the program on the occasion of Workers' Month is a great encouragement for me to build a family and settle down."
According to the Hue City Labor Federation, during the Workers' Month 2025, the Trade Union will give gifts to 10 union members facing difficulties due to work-related accidents and occupational diseases, and support the construction and repair of 10 "Union Shelters" with a total cost of 460 million VND.
Pioneering in the new era
With the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era", this year's Workers' Month does not only stop at caring, but also aims to improve the capacity and position of workers.
The program "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era" is a highlight in the series of activities, encouraging workers to change their thinking, improve their skills, and apply technology in production. Along with that, the "Creative Labor Festival and Skilled Workers' Competition" creates a playground to honor outstanding individuals in production labor.
Another notable activity is the forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party", where workers directly express their thoughts and aspirations to the city leaders. Dialogue sessions between workers and enterprises and the government were organized, creating an open space for exchange, promptly removing difficulties in labor relations.
At the same time, the "Thank you to workers" program and cultural and sports activities are widely implemented, contributing to improving the spiritual life of workers and their families.
The Hue City Labor Federation identifies Workers' Month as an important occasion to promote propaganda about the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the new situation. Trade unions at all levels increase the mobilization of workers to participate in trade union organizations, contributing to building a modern working class, meeting the requirements of integration.
Chairman of the Hue City Labor Federation Le Minh Nhan emphasized that activities during Workers' Month not only take place in May, but are also a long-term foundation, creating motivation for the Hue workers' team to develop comprehensively, adapt flexibly and be ready to deeply integrate into the modern labor market.
