On May 27, the conference was held at the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation. The delegates are standing members and leaders of departments and offices of the Labor Federations of the three provinces attending.
Mr. Hoang Lien - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that the conference aimed to create consensus and unity in the work of arranging the trade union apparatus in the provinces.
This is a specific activity of the trade unions of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces to implement the resolutions of the Central Government, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and local Party committees on reorganizing the apparatus of the political system, Mr. Hoang Lien emphasized.
At the conference, delegates discussed developing a project to establish a new Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation on the basis of merging the Labor Federations of 3 provinces. At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor was merged into the new Lam Dong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Currently, the Labor Federations of the 3 provinces have 179 full-time union officials. Of these, 37 people have registered for early retirement and leave work according to Resolution 178 dated December 31, 2024 of the Government.

It is expected that after the merger, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation will manage about 855 grassroots unions with about 75,000 union members. These are trade unions in non-state employers and public service units that do not receive 100% of their salaries from the state budget.
Regarding the newly arranged and merged apparatus of the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union, the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the current Labor Federations of the three provinces.
Accordingly, not counting the number of union officials who have registered to retire to enjoy the regime in 2025, the number of members of the Executive Committee of the new Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation includes 76 members.
Similarly, this figure for the Standing Committee is 24 members, the Inspection Committee is 23 members.
At this forum, the Labor Federations of the 3 provinces also discussed and recommended that competent authorities consider establishing the new Lam Dong Industrial Park Trade Union. The arrangement of union officials in charge of inter-commune and ward areas.
