Attending the conference were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and more than 100 delegates from 26 provinces and cities representing the Labor Confederations of provinces from Da Nang onwards. The training course took place over 2 days (October 30 and 31, 2024).
Training content on policies for female workers and dialogue skills to represent, care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of female workers; Policies on population, family, children and implementing models of care for female workers; Introducing the program "Parenting skills for the comprehensive development of children"; Sharing practical activities, models, and good experiences in women's work at the unit. In addition, implementing instructions on the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" among female workers and civil servants in the new situation and new regulations on thematic commendation work...
Speaking at the training course, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always identifies building a team of Trade Union officials with sufficient capacity and qualities, meeting the requirements of the task as one of the key tasks, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of Trade Union activities.
To achieve that goal, over the past years, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Trade Unions at all levels have paid attention to updating knowledge on policies, regulations, and rules on women's work for many Trade Union officials. Improving the quality of Trade Union work in general and women's work in particular is an inevitable requirement of Trade Union activities in the current period.
According to the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the contents selected for this training session are based on the reality of women's work and current new regulations. Therefore, it is recommended that trainees seriously study, research, and apply them to practical work in the most effective way.
