There are a number of units and businesses with a large number of workers and have established a grassroots trade union for many years, but the business owner has not paid 2% of trade union funds for superior trade unions such as: Vissai Ninh Binh Joint Stock Company (belonging to cockroach industrial park), with over 1,000 union members and employees. The company has established trade unions since 2007, but up to now, this company has not fulfilled the obligation to pay 2% of trade union funds as prescribed. According to the report of the Union of Industrial Zones in Ninh Binh Province, only from 2017 to the present, Vissai Ninh Binh Joint Stock Company owes over 9.4 billion VND of trade union funds.
Similarly, Moon Group Mechanical Joint Stock Company (in Khanh Phu Industrial Park) established a grassroots college in 2022 with 360 union members and employees and owed more than 1 billion VND of trade union. Other companies such as Viet Phap Aluminum Joint Stock Company (Phuc Son Industrial Park), Phuc Loc Joint Stock Company (in Khanh Phu Industrial Park) are owed to trade union funds and lasted for many years.
Need the coordination and participation of functional agencies
Mr. Dinh The Hung - Chairman of the Industrial Zone of Ninh Binh Province - said that in recent years, the budget of 2% trade union of agencies, organizations and enterprises for trade unions has been divided at 75% to leave the grassroots college; 25% distributed to 3 trade unions including: direct superiors at the grassroots level, provincial and central levels.
This is an important resource for trade unions to take care of the legal rights and interests for employees, especially those in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, contributing to ensuring social security, stabilizing the political security situation of agencies, units, businesses and localities.
"For units and businesses owed trade union funds with large amounts of money and lasting for many years, we have sent notifications to the business. At the same time, directly to work with the business leader to propagate and ask the business owner to strictly abide by the trade union funds as prescribed.
