To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the Hung Dao Ward Labor Union coordinated with Vietnam Biochemical Technology Joint Stock Company and the Institute of Air Defense - Air Force Medicine to organize free health check-ups for more than 2,000 union members and workers.
On August 19 and 20, the unit organized a free health check-up for union members of Minh Thanh Garment Export Company Limited. Here, workers are examined for free: abdominal, thyroid and neck ultrasound; bone and joint condition check-up, osteoporosis rate measurement; blood sugar testing; Bilirubin testing to diagnose and monitor diseases that cause gallbladder blockage; early screening for colon and digestive cancer. Each medical examination package is worth 1,650,000 VND.
After the examination, doctors advised workers on a suitable nutritional regimen, regular check-up cycles, appropriate rest and work regimes to help union members and workers improve their medical conditions as well as improve their physical condition.
Mr. Dam Thanh Vinh - Director of Minh Thanh Garment Export Company Limited - said that workers rarely have the opportunity to go to hospitals for regular health check-ups, so today's free health check-up activities are really meaningful. The attention of the Hung Dao Ward Trade Union creates motivation for workers to be more attached to and trust the enterprise and the Trade Union organization.
