On the morning of July 28, at Ty Xuan Company Limited (Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Vinh Long Province), more than 21,000 workers participated in the "Union Meal" program. This is a meaningful activity organized by the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) in coordination with the grassroots union to care for the lives of workers.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong directly attended, had meals with workers and presented many gifts of encouragement. The presence of the General Confederation leaders creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for this special working day.
Each portion of rice is worth 50,000 VND, carefully prepared, ensuring nutrition and food hygiene and safety. The cafeteria has increased staff, the menu has been renovated to create a delicious and comfortable feeling for workers.
Worker Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong said that today's meal was very full and delicious. Most importantly, she feels cared for and respected by the Trade Union and the company.
Workers Phan Ngoc Khoa said that the attention shown through a meal like this is a great source of encouragement. "We work in shifts all year round, with such care, everyone becomes more attached to work and the enterprise," added the Khoa worker.
Sharing at the program, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that she was very moved to witness the spirit of solidarity between workers and the Trade Union organization at Ty Xuan Company Limited.
Not only organizing mid-shift meals, the company also closely coordinates with grassroots unions to implement many practical welfare policies. This is a model of caring for workers that should be replicated.
"Practice activities such as the Union Meal not only provide material support but also a deep spiritual sharing, contributing to creating harmonious, stable and sustainable labor relations" - Ms. Xuong emphasized.
