Area Management Working Group No. 2 - Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has just held a conference to guide grassroots trade unions (CDCS) on organizing congresses and expanded executive committee conferences.
Accordingly, grassroots trade unions with the 2022-2027 term and grassroots trade unions whose terms have expired, the Executive Committee was appointed to organize congresses for the first time according to the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
The Congress needs to ensure the following contents: discussing and approving the summary report on trade union activities in the past term; deciding on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the coming term; giving opinions on draft documents of the higher-level trade union congress; giving opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; Electing the new term executive committee and key positions of cadres; electing delegates to attend the higher-level trade union congress (if any)...
For grassroots trade unions with the 2023-2028 term, 2024-2028 term and later, the congress term will be extended to 2030 and an expanded executive committee meeting will be held.
The conference content includes a report assessing the implementation of the congress resolution since the beginning of the term, supplementing the resolution's targets, directions, tasks, and implementation solutions; giving comments on the City Labor Federation congress documents, synthesizing recommendations from union members and workers (if any); giving comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union...
Regarding the organization time, the grassroots trade union will hold a congress/conference before December 31, 2025. For grassroots trade unions with a structure of delegates attending the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress and the Vietnam Trade Union Congress, it must be completed before November 30.
