On April 7, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) coordinated with the Trade Union Management Working Group of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks to organize a grassroots trade union meeting in the first quarter of 2026 in Phu My ward.
The conference gathered representatives of commune and ward trade unions; grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) headquartered in 11 industrial parks in Phu My, Tan Thanh, Tan Phuoc areas... to attend.
In the conference, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation introduced members, organizational structure, functions, and tasks of the Trade Union Management Working Group of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks. At the same time, organized training and guidance on using the management information system of grassroots trade unions; regulations on management and use of trade union finances; guidance on congress and mid-term conference work... ; Orientation on union member development work, women's work, and movement activities in the second quarter of 2026.
In addition, the conference also organized discussions for delegates to contribute and raise proposals and recommendations. On that basis, summarize and find solutions to handle difficulties and obstacles of grassroots trade unions in the process of operation.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also introduced a number of welfare programs for union members and workers that are being implemented such as: preferential loan programs, settlement programs with workers...
According to the plan, in the afternoon of the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation continued to organize a meeting in Ba Ria ward, with the participation of representatives of grassroots trade unions belonging to Dat Do, Dong Xuyen, Chau Duc industrial parks; trade unions of Nghia Thanh, Ngai Giao, Dat Do communes and Rach Dua ward trade unions.
