On June 20, the Tra On District Labor Federation (LDLD) announced Decision No. 85/QD-LDLD on June 19 on terminating the operations of 63 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) and transferring 05 grassroots trade unions and unions to the Provincial Labor Federation for management, the Decision took effect from June 25.
Mr. Luc Cong Hiep - Chairman of Tra On District Labor Federation - said that the District Labor Federation has signed a decision to end the operation of 63 grassroots trade unions in the administrative and career sector with a salary payment source of 100% from the State budget from June 25, 2025. This is a necessary step to streamline the organizational apparatus in accordance with the orientation of superiors.
Along with that, 5 grassroots trade unions and trade unions with specific characteristics, operating independently or no longer suitable to the district-level management model, have been handed over to the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor to continue directing and managing.
According to Mr. Hiep, the reorganization does not disrupt the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
"This is also a necessary preparation step for improving the quality of trade union organization and activities in the period of comprehensive transformation and innovation," Mr. Hiep added.
