Survey on the implementation of the "Better Jobs" program in Binh Duong

On November 13, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited 2 enterprises to survey the implementation of the "Better Jobs" program. Joining the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - President of the Binh Duong Provincial Confederation of Labor, representatives of departments, branches and leaders of the People's Committee of Tan Uyen City.

The delegation surveyed the implementation process of activities participating in the "Better Jobs" program of Poong In Vina Co., Ltd. (Uyen Hung Ward, Tan Uyen City) and Hung Kiu VN Garment Co., Ltd. (Phu Chanh Ward, Tan Uyen City). These are two enterprises operating in the garment sector. Both enterprises have over 1,000 employees. Both enterprises participate in the "Better Jobs" program built and developed by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). This program has been implemented in enterprises in Vietnam since 2009. In the period of 2023 - 2027, it will be implemented according to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, the ILO and the IFC.

At the meeting, the delegation surveyed and recorded the activities when the two enterprises participated in the program to ensure the rights and improve working conditions for union members and employees, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, while supporting the sustainable development of enterprises.

On the same afternoon, the survey team also had a working program with the People's Committee of Binh Duong province to have an overall assessment of the program's activities in Binh Duong industrial development province.
