On December 13, at the 11th Da Nang City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, highly appreciated the activities of the City Trade Union in the past term.
Despite facing many major difficulties and challenges, affected by the world and domestic situation, especially natural disasters, storms, floods, and epidemics, all levels of the Union and the team of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the city have united, been creative, determined to overcome difficulties and achieved many important results. These results have contributed positively to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city in the past and present" - Mr. Thang emphasized.
Mr. Thang said that the Trade Unions at all levels have proactively participated in resolving many arising cases, contributing to maintaining a harmonious, stable and progressive working environment.
That is the result of the perseverance and persistent efforts of the Trade Union in enhancing consensus and cohesion between workers and organizations and enterprises.
At the same time, the Da Nang Trade Union has also focused on social security work, implementing many highly disseminated programs, such as housing projects, cultural institutions serving workers and laborers.
These activities not only leave a deep impression but also contribute to arousing humanity and social responsibility in the community.
However, besides remarkable achievements, the activities of the Trade Union and the city's workers' movement still face many difficulties and challenges.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee highly appreciated the fact that the comrades frankly acknowledged and pointed out the limitations in the draft Political Report submitted to the Congress. The Congress needs to continue to discuss and clearly analyze the causes, especially subjective causes, thereby drawing profound lessons and proposing solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term" - Mr. Thang said.
Towards building "digital workers", "digital laborers"
According to the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, the City Party Committee basically agreed with the orientation, goals and tasks stated in the Political Report submitted to the Congress. However, in addition to the direction of Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - the Congress needs to pay attention to a number of important contents.
First of all, it is necessary to promote propaganda among union members, workers and laborers about the development goals and orientations of Da Nang city, associated with the breakthrough policies and resolutions of the Central Government.
Thereby, organizing practical emulation movements, arousing creativity and aspiration to contribute to production, contributing to ensuring an economic growth rate of over 10% per year, towards achieving an average income per capita of 8,500 USD by 2030.
The workforce and laborers of the new era need to become a pioneer in the transformation process, taking the lead in building "digital workers", "digital laborers". The creative emulation movement needs to be spread from the grassroots, workshops to factories.
In addition, the Trade Union needs to study and propose the development of corporate cultural models and workers' culture in accordance with reality, associated with the city's "5 no's", "3 yes'", "4 safe' programs and national target programs.
In addition, it is necessary to improve the quality of social security policies with the motto "leaving no one behind", while paying attention to building and strengthening a strong Trade Union organization. We must continue to innovate operating methods, avoid administrationalization, and promote the effectiveness of operations at the grassroots level in a practical way.
