Emulation Block No. 8 overcomes difficulties, adapts to the new situation

Attending the preliminary conference on emulation and commendation work in the first 6 months of the year, deploying tasks for the last 6 months of 2026 of Emulation Block No. 8 were Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Ngo Duy Hieu; Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board Le Van Nghia; representatives of 11 departments and units in Emulation Block No. 8 who are units operating in many fields such as training, scientific research, management advice, journalism, publishing, construction investment, asset management, services and enterprises.

In the first six months of 2026, in the context of implementing the arrangement of the organizational structure according to the new model, promoting digital transformation and implementing autonomy mechanisms in public service units and enterprises, Emulation Block No. 8 has promoted the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, proactive innovation, and effectively implemented emulation movements associated with political tasks and professional tasks of each unit. Most units have completed or basically completed the targets and plans for the first 6 months of the year, actively contributing to the overall task performance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The training and scientific research unit group continues to promote its role as the core force in human resource training, scientific research and technology transfer to serve the Trade Union organization. The advisory and management units continue to affirm their core role in advising and organizing the implementation of key tasks of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

Notably, the implementation of 3 social housing projects with 1,702 apartments, reaching 106.38% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister, contributing to the implementation of the policy of developing social housing for union members and workers; the work of advising, summarizing, building policies, labor relations, dialogue and caring for union members continues to be implemented synchronously and effectively.

Press, publishing, business and service units have proactively adapted to the market mechanism, innovated management methods, improved service quality and production and business efficiency. Many units maintain revenue growth, expand markets, develop new products and services and actively apply digital technology.

In particular, Lao Dong Newspaper achieved many outstanding achievements with 4 National Press Awards, 1 A Prize of the National Press Award for Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle) and many awards and certificates of merit from ministries and sectors; Ton Duc Thang University has 5 dossiers requesting consideration for the title of Excellent Teacher, 1 individual awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Trade Union Project Management Board has 3 individuals awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for investment management work.

The activities of Emulation Block No. 8 continue to be maintained in a regular and effective manner. The coordinating role of Block Leaders and Deputy Block Leaders is promoted; units actively coordinate, share experiences and fully participate in general activities...

Based on the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year, in the last 6 months of the year, Emulation Block No. 8 identified 5 key tasks: Continuing to improve the quality of emulation movements associated with the political tasks of each unit; promoting digital transformation, innovation and improving management efficiency; focusing on completing the key tasks of each group of units; strengthening coordination, promoting the effectiveness of the Emulation Block's activities; improving the quality of emulation and commendation work.

In the coming time, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized a number of tasks of departments and units in the Bloc.

In which, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said that 2026 is the first year to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, requiring units to deploy with strong enthusiasm and motivation. The contents of the Resolutions must be concretized into contents orienting long-term activities of the unit. Contents related to their sector, their unit must issue resolutions associated with the implementation of the double-digit growth target.

Units focus on developing based on science and technology, productivity, quality, innovation, artificial intelligence; improving the quality of cadres, civil servants, and workers; concretizing emulation movements; actively coordinating and sharing with each other...
