On the afternoon of March 28, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Phan Van Anh attended the launching ceremony of the emulation to complete the goals and progress of the Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project in 2026 in Tri An commune, Dong Nai province, organized by the Power Project Management Board 3, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
Reports at the ceremony showed that many items at the Tri An hydropower project expansion achieved positive results, some items have exceeded the set schedule; site clearance is being urgently implemented to create favorable conditions to accelerate the project progress.
At the ceremony, contractors signed an emulation agreement, committed to mobilizing maximum manpower, equipment, finance, organizing scientific and safe construction, and striving to complete the project on schedule or ahead of schedule.
On this occasion, many gifts were directly given to union members and workers who are directly constructing at the construction site.
The Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project is a national key project in the energy sector, which was started in August 2025, with a total investment of more than 3,900 billion VND. The project has a capacity scale of 200MW, expected to be completed and put into operation in 2027.
