Relieving stress after working hours

Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Trinh Thi Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that the unit is one of 3 grassroots trade unions selected by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation to be a pilot for building the "Worker Cultural Space" model.

“Before starting to build the model, the trade union has planned and determined that the implementation must be practical, effective, suitable to the needs of workers and have the consensus of the business. The space needs to be arranged neatly, aesthetically, and easily accessible; the content is diverse, meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of workers” - Ms. Nguyet shared.

According to Ms. Nguyet, the "Workers' Cultural Space" at the company includes key corners such as: Book reading corner with legal bookshelves, newspapers, life skills; traditional corner displaying, preserving and introducing company and trade union traditions, traditional ao dai costumes; sports corner with exercise equipment; common living corner for organizing birthdays, Trade Union Executive Committee meetings, consulting, and propaganda.

Periodically every year, the company's Trade Union will evaluate based on criteria to adjust and supplement activities appropriately, remove ineffective content, in order to meet the standards requested by the Provincial Labor Federation to recognize standard spaces" - Ms. Nguyet said.

Ms. Tran Thu Hong - a worker at Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - shared that building the "Worker Cultural Space" model is a very practical work, helping workers have space to live, rest, and relax after stressful working hours.

According to a representative of the leadership of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the construction and spread of the "Workers' Cultural Space" model is a key task in Workers' Month 2026. This is also a practical activity towards celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
