Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that, implementing the plan of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation on building a healthy cultural living environment for workers, many grassroots trade unions at enterprises have implemented the "Worker Cultural Space" model.
Initially, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation selected 3 grassroots trade unions as pilot units including: Alena Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd., Ny Hoa Viet Co., Ltd. and S&H Vina Co., Ltd. To date, the model has spread to many companies and businesses. Initial steps show that the model brings many practical benefits to union members and workers" - a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation shared.
Representatives of the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation added that the construction of the "Workers' Cultural Space" aims to create a safe and clean working and living environment, respecting workers; and at the same time, arouse motivation for development, meet legitimate needs and promote the role of workers in innovation, improving productivity, quality and labor efficiency.
Through this, the model contributes to training working style, building the image of professional and modern union members and workers; creating a healthy cultural living environment, improving the spiritual life of workers; forming a positive, disciplined lifestyle and strengthening cohesion in the collective.

Relieving stress after working hours
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Trinh Thi Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that the unit is one of 3 grassroots trade unions selected by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation to be a pilot for building the "Worker Cultural Space" model.
“Before starting to build the model, the trade union has planned and determined that the implementation must be practical, effective, suitable to the needs of workers and have the consensus of the business. The space needs to be arranged neatly, aesthetically, and easily accessible; the content is diverse, meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of workers” - Ms. Nguyet shared.
According to Ms. Nguyet, the "Workers' Cultural Space" at the company includes key corners such as: Book reading corner with legal bookshelves, newspapers, life skills; traditional corner displaying, preserving and introducing company and trade union traditions, traditional ao dai costumes; sports corner with exercise equipment; common living corner for organizing birthdays, Trade Union Executive Committee meetings, consulting, and propaganda.
Periodically every year, the company's Trade Union will evaluate based on criteria to adjust and supplement activities appropriately, remove ineffective content, in order to meet the standards requested by the Provincial Labor Federation to recognize standard spaces" - Ms. Nguyet said.
Ms. Tran Thu Hong - a worker at Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - shared that building the "Worker Cultural Space" model is a very practical work, helping workers have space to live, rest, and relax after stressful working hours.
According to a representative of the leadership of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the construction and spread of the "Workers' Cultural Space" model is a key task in Workers' Month 2026. This is also a practical activity towards celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
