Creative labor model
After 20 years since the company first came into operation, for Mr. Chu Anh Tu, Toyota Boshoku Hai Phong Company Limited became the second home, where he constantly creates and contributes. To date, Mr. Tu has had more than 40 initiatives and improvements, bringing the company more than 50 billion VND in benefits.
Many of Mr. Tu's initiatives are highly appreciated by leaders such as " Design a process to take advantage of leftover materials, reduce waste of leftover materials at the fiber making stage". The initiative focuses on the process of using redundant sugar by increasing the length of the beam to make the most of only small coils; installing machines to connect small coils into large coils for reuse, creating products that meet requirements. The initiative benefits businesses with VND2.59 billion/year, reducing the amount of industrial waste released into the environment.
Or the initiative "Change methods, reduce waste of Silicone raw materials at the coating stage and raw materials at the weaving stage". Mr. Tu shared: To maintain production at the silicone coating stage, it is necessary to suture the fabric of many fabric coils together with specialized straws with hard properties. Because the design of Transfer roll (a device coated with silicone on the fabric surface) has soft rubber properties, the stepper of the 2 rolls of fabric made with a handle has the property of being hard, which can cause scratches on the surface of the Transfer roll". Anh Tu is researching to replace specialized handles with colored handles, with soft properties, without causing damage to the Transfer roll surface. Mr. Tu's improvement has been successfully tested and applied to production since 2021, helping to reduce the amount of silicone, which means reducing the amount of hazardous waste emitted into the environment. This initiative also helped Mr. Tu receive the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the third time and was honored to receive the Nguyen Duc Canh Award for the fourth time in 2023.
Bringing the patriotic emulation movement to spread among each union member
As Head of the Drying and Moisturizing Department, Mr. Tu is always enthusiastic, responsible at work and enthusiastically guides subordinates in professional tasks and goes well with his colleagues. Mr. Tu is also an active core in all emulation movements launched by trade unions and companies at all levels. According to Mr. Tu, the emulation movement that is spread in addition to propaganda work needs to have a specific, practical form of emulation associated with the daily tasks and work of each individual and department. At the same time, build a clear and public set of criteria in evaluating and rewarding individuals and groups with outstanding achievements.
Therefore, in the cleaning and Drying Department, Mr. Tu established emulation teams at the workplace; regularly organized activities, discussed emulation results and effective work experience, rewarded, and encouraged the positive and creative working spirit of employees. Under the guidance of a exemplary and responsible "captain", the Cleaning and Drying Department has not had any work accidents for 3 consecutive years, achieving the KPI for machine performance, the index for production capacity per capita; exceeding the target (the amount of money to reduce annual waste) assigned by the company's board of directors.
With his efforts and hard work, Mr. Tu has achieved a series of impressive achievements such as receiving the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor 3 times, the Nguyen Duc Canh Award, and the "Outstanding worker of the Communist Party of Vietnam" award. Mr. Tu is also one of 80 individuals and groups honored at the 11th Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
