The nucleus of every emulation movement
In 2005, after graduating from Hai Phong Industrial Vocational College, Mr. Chu Anh Tu came to work at Toyota Boshoku Hai Phong Co., Ltd. and has been attached to it until now. From the early days of working at the company until now, in his position as Head of the Cleaning and Earth Department, Mr. Tu still maintains his enthusiasm for creativity, contributing many "golden" initiatives, making billions of dong in profit for businesses.
Among them, the initiative "Designing a process to utilize redundant thread, reducing waste of redundant raw materials in the yarn-making stage" is worth 2.59 billion VND/year. The initiative focuses on the process of using redundant thread by increasing the length of the thread beam to maximize thread in small rolls; installing machines to connect small thread rolls into large thread rolls for reuse, creating products that meet requirements.
After the success of this initiative, Mr. Tu continued to research and launch the initiative "Improving and reducing the waste of silicone raw materials in the coating stage" to save raw material, making a profit of 18 billion VND/year. Or most recently, the initiative "Changing methods, reducing the waste of Silicone raw materials in the coating stage and raw materials only in the weaving stage", making a profit for businesses of nearly 3 billion VND. According to Mr. Tu, to maintain production in the silicone coating stage, it is necessary to sew the fabric of many rolls together with specialized sewing threads with stiff properties. Due to the design of Transfer roll (a silicone coating device on the fabric surface), which has soft rubber properties, the sewing threads of 2 rolls of fabric with sewing threads have stiff properties, potentially scratching the surface of Transfer roll.
Mr. Tu researched replacing specialized sewing threads with color threads, with soft properties, not causing damage to the Transfer roll surface. At the same time, reducing the width for checking fabric coating concentration from 65 cm to 35cm, helping to save thread and silicone in the production process. This initiative was successfully tested and applied to production from 2021, helping to reduce the amount of silicone, meaning reducing the amount of hazardous waste emitted into the environment. With this initiative, Mr. Tu received the Creative Labor Certificate of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 3rd time and was honored to receive the Nguyen Duc Canh Award for the 4th time in 2023.
Not only is he a positive nucleus in the emulation movement for good labor - creative labor, Mr. Tu also actively participates in movements and cultural and sports activities organized by trade unions at all levels such as football tournaments, running races... Mr. Tu is also an active member in voluntary blood donation programs with 55 blood donations, spreading noble gestures among workers and employees of the company.
Constantly learning, striving
The achievements achieved in emulation movements, especially the emulation movement for good labor - creative labor, for Mr. Chu Anh Tu is a journey of learning and constant effort. In the early working period and up to now, he has always been guided, tutored, and instructed by Japanese experts, Vietnamese managers on knowledge, expertise in the Textile industry and the production process for car safety airbags.
In his role as Head of the Cleaning and Detoxification Department, Mr. Tu is always enthusiastic and responsible in his work and wholeheartedly guides subordinates in professional tasks and is in harmony with colleagues. Mr. Tu regularly organizes meetings and exchanges about emulation results and effective work experience, rewards and encourages the spirit of active and creative work of employees. Under the guidance of a exemplary and responsible "captain", the Cleaning and Detoxification Department has had no labor accidents for 3 consecutive years, achieving the KPI index for machine performance, the index for per capita production capacity; and exceeding the target (annual waste reduction amount) assigned by the company's leadership.
To date, Mr. Tu has achieved a series of impressive achievements such as 3 times receiving the Creative Labor Certificate of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Nguyen Duc Canh Award, commending "Typical Workers who are Party members of the Communist Party of Vietnam"; typical individuals at the 11th Congress of Patriotic Emulation of Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers and is an advanced example participating in the 11th National Congress of Patriotic Emulation.
