Effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements
The movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" continues to be widely and effectively implemented, contributing significantly to socio-economic development and improving people's lives. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has presided over and coordinated with the government, member organizations and the entire population to synchronously deploy 5 contents of the movement in conjunction with the criteria for building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and the Campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas".
Every year, over 90% of residential areas register and organize effective implementation; the rate of residential areas achieving cultural titles increases steadily; rural infrastructure is improved; the poverty rate decreases significantly; many self-management models in the community are replicated.
Promoting its role as a center of solidarity, gathering the will and aspirations of the people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized people to contribute tens of thousands of billions of VND, millions of working days, donate land and assets to build roads, schools, medical stations, cultural houses, contributing to changing the face of rural areas, improving urban quality, ensuring social security and promoting sustainable development.
Through the construction and replication of models of "Outstanding Residential Area", "Cultural Family", "Cultural Street", "Shaped Garden", "Self-managed Flower Road", the movement has become a driving force to spread a good lifestyle, promote the positivity and subjective role of the People in community development. Many places have effectively integrated the movement with the program of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas, contributing significantly to improving the material and spiritual quality of life of rural and urban people.
Party committees at all levels have paid close attention to directing the concretization of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the directives and conclusions of the Central Committee into 6 key action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations.
Typically, the Program to encourage people from all walks of life to compete and create, effectively implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, typically: Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" (78% of communes meet new rural standards), "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" (more than 12,000 OCOP products are recognized), "For the poor - No one is left behind" (each year mobilizes thousands of billions of VND), "Creative solidarity" (yearly announces the Vietnam Creative Golden Book, introduces 70 - 100 outstanding works).
The Party Committees of socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State have directed the effective implementation of patriotic emulation movements, closely following the characteristics of union members and members such as the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, focusing on promoting the movement "Good labor - Creative labor", "good advice, good service", emulating and responding to movements launched by the Prime Minister; Vietnam Farmers' Association with the movement "Good farmers in production and business", protecting the rural environment; Vietnam Women's Union with the movement "Building women in the new era", the campaign "Building a 5-zero, 3-clean family", "Women's creative startups"; Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with the movements "Youth Volunteers", "Creative Youth"; Vietnam Veterans Association with the movements "Exemplary Veterans", "Help each other reduce poverty, do good business"...
Contributing to improving the quality of life for people and workers
In recent times, Trade Unions at all levels have actively implemented emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, thereby achieving many practical results, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in production and work.
In particular, trade unions at all levels have participated in implementing the goal of poverty reduction, accompanying the poor, developing production, supporting the construction of houses for union members with difficult housing circumstances, supporting the elimination of temporary houses, dilapidated houses... contributing to promoting production development, contributing to improving income and quality of life for people in general and employees in particular, demonstrating the sense of responsibility, solidarity and compassion of the trade union organization towards the community.
The emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" has been effectively implemented by trade unions at all levels over the years.
Many provincial and municipal labor federations have implemented the movement "Trade unions join hands to build new rural areas" associated with the criteria for building model residential areas and model gardens with the goal of building Vietnamese rural areas; launched the model "Modeled beautiful road" contributing to building new, spacious, clean and civilized rural areas. Trade unions at all levels have mobilized union members, workers and people to participate in concreting, planting trees and flowers along the road, installing lighting, maintaining environmental sanitation... Up to now, many localities have successfully built roads with "Model Union Road" signs such as Nghe An, Quang Nam, Dong Nai, Ben Tre...
In the period of 2021 - 2025, more than 1,500 roads have been jointly built by the Trade Unions at all levels, contributing to improving traffic and environmental criteria in the new rural program.
Implementing Decision No. 666/QD-TTg, dated June 2, 2022 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Plan to organize the implementation of the emulation movement "For the poor, no one is left behind" for the period 2021 - 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has continued to direct the implementation and concretization of the organization of emulation movements among union members, workers and trade unions at all levels.
All provincial and municipal Labor Federations have developed programs and plans, participating with the Provincial and Municipal Fatherland Front Committees, with the authorities and socio-political organizations to effectively implement and organize emulation movements, linking emulation movements with the socio-economic development goals of localities and units.
In the period of 2021-2025, Tet care activities of Trade Unions at all levels are organized richly, diversely, flexibly and practically at 4 levels, focusing on the grassroots level, prioritizing care for union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, natural disasters, floods; union members and workers in need of or without jobs; union members and workers who are policy beneficiaries, ethnic minorities or have not had the opportunity to return home to reunite with their families for many years during the Lunar New Year; union members and workers who do not return home for Tet to work, work, and produce.
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", many care programs have been meticulously and methodically designed by trade unions at all levels. From the Trade Union Tet Market with essential goods at preferential prices, to Tet gifts and bus tickets to support workers to return home, all are carefully prepared to ensure that all workers can celebrate Tet fully and meaningfully. Tet gifts, free bus tickets to take workers home, or programs to give away Trade Union Shelters not only have material value but also spread profound spiritual value. Notable activities include: "Tet Sum Vay - Connecting Love" program; "Tet Sum Vay - Spring at peace"; "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan at common"; "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan chia chia"; "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan chia Chia"; "Spring Youth Union of Workers - Civil Servants - Workers", coordinating to organize for Party and State leaders to visit, wish a happy New Year, give gifts to union members and workers affected by serious illnesses, work accidents, occupational diseases, affected by epidemics; organize cultural and artistic activities, sports; organize activities at boarding houses with a large number of workers... attracting millions of union members and workers to participate, thereby creating a joyful, warm and enthusiastic atmosphere during the New Year.
In the 2021-2025 period, over 44.6 million union members and workers have benefited from Tet care activities of Trade Unions at all levels, with a total amount of care and support of over 31,000 billion VND.
The union member welfare program has been effectively implemented by trade unions at all levels; many incentive programs have been coordinated by trade unions at all levels, thousands of cooperation agreements with units and enterprises have created conditions for union members and workers to buy goods and use services at preferential prices from 5% - 50% depending on the type of goods, products and services.
As a result, in 5 years, over 10 million union members have participated in using products and services at preferential prices provided by units and enterprises with a reduced amount of thousands of billions of VND. Trade unions at all levels have signed 2,840 cooperation agreements, including 20 agreements at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor level; about more than 6.5 million union members and workers have benefited with a total amount of nearly VND 1,400 billion.
The "Union Shelter" awarding program has been implemented, supporting the construction of 10,508 new houses, repairing 3,175 "Union Shelter" houses with a total support amount of over 543 billion VND. Along with that is the very effective operation of the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund. From 2021 to 2024, the Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund supported the construction and repair of 162 Trade Union Shelters, 110 solidarity houses, and gratitude houses; sponsored nearly 30 billion VND to build 18 public works.
