In 2024, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor presided over and coordinated the organization of a collective wedding ceremony for 9 couples who are union members and workers in difficult circumstances, working at enterprises in Dong Nai province.
In the program, union member and worker couples participating in the collective wedding ceremony are also supported with all facilities and conditions for organizing the wedding ceremony such as hall, sound, lighting, wedding decoration, art program at the wedding ceremony, wedding rings, ao dai... At the same time, the program also received the attention of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee.
According to the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, the collective wedding ceremony most clearly demonstrates the civilized, economical wedding model, honoring the traditional cultural beauty of the nation, the attention of political and social organizations for union members and workers.
At that time, Ms. Bui Thi Kieu Giang (worker at Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd., Bau Xeo Industrial Park) was moved to share at the wedding ceremony: Every girl's life wishes to wear a wedding dress once, but due to circumstances, they cannot fulfill their dream. Ms. Giang lost her parents at a young age, and her husband was in a similar situation. The two loved each other so they lived together for about 10 years, but only registered their marriage, not getting married. At the end of 2024, thanks to the help of the union, the couple had a meaningful wedding. Ms. Giang added that with her salary as a worker, she and her husband have to save to raise 2 young children, and she herself had to undergo surgery due to illness, but she tried to overcome it.
Mr. Le Nhat Truong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd. - commented that the collective wedding ceremony organized for union members and workers is a meaningful activity because there are many workers who are not qualified to organize a wedding ceremony, and to stand on stage as bridesmaids - the dream of many female workers. This activity is humane and positive, and needs to be expanded.
The 2025 collective wedding ceremony will consider choosing from 10 to 20 couples
The Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor has just issued a plan to organize a collective wedding ceremony for union members and workers in 2025.
The wedding will be held according to a civilized, solemn and economical traditional ceremony suitable to the actual conditions of union members and workers.
The subjects are couples with 1 of 2 people (or both) being union members, workers in difficult circumstances or for objective reasons working at enterprises, agencies and units with trade unions, having registered to get married but not having the conditions to hold a wedding ceremony, including cases with children.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor plans to select from 10 to 20 couples who are eligible to hold a collective wedding ceremony, expected in December 2025 at the Dong Nai Province Trade and Tourism Promotion Center.
Couples selected to participate in the collective wedding ceremony will be supported with wedding photography (given a large photo of 60cm x 90cm); support wedding clothes, wedding flowers; support 2 salty banquet tables for relatives and friends attending the wedding ceremony; give each couple a pair of wedding rings; support all facilities and conditions for organizing the collective wedding ceremony...
According to Permanent Vice President of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor Bui Thi Bich Thuy, the collective wedding ceremony for union members and workers in the province in 2025 affirms the role of the union in accompanying and sharing with union members and workers, strengthening the connection between union members and workers and the Trade Union organization.
