The Executive Committee of the new Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor consists of 14 people, the Standing Committee has 9 people and the Inspection Committee has 5 people. After the merger, the Provincial Federation of Labor received 1,008 grassroots unions with a total of 79,300 union members.
The Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor has established 13 commune and ward unions in the old Binh Dinh province. Up to now, 2 commune unions and 1 ward union have been established (previously, the old Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor established 4 ward unions).
Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor Ha Duy Trung commented that in the last 6 months of the year, the Trade Union organization will continue to face many difficulties and challenges. In that context, the Provincial Federation of Labor has quickly stabilized the organizational apparatus, maintained and effectively performed its functions and tasks, associated with the theme of activities in 2025: "Focus on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party".
The Provincial Federation of Labor identifies comprehensive innovation as an urgent requirement to ensure the apparatus is both streamlined and efficient, with the motto: "If the method of operation is not innovated, the Trade Union organization will have difficulty accompanying workers at the present time". On that basis, the Trade Union organization will adjust the operating model flexibly, in accordance with the characteristics of the grassroots.
In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor will build a "streamlined, light - effective" grassroots union model in small, medium and micro enterprises - units with large numbers but often having difficulty approaching the union organization.
Through specific welfare programs such as preferential shopping, health care, scholarships for workers' children, emulation movements, culture, sports... the Trade Union organization will create practical values, close to practical needs.
The Provincial Federation of Labor will strengthen coordination with enterprises in organizing dialogues, negotiations and signing collective labor agreements with more beneficial terms for employees. At the same time, closely coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Health, Social Insurance, the Economic Zone Management Board... to inspect and supervise the implementation of labor policies, wages, social insurance, occupational safety and hygiene, ensuring legitimate rights for workers.
Mr. Ha Duy Trung emphasized that the reorganization of the Trade Union apparatus is an important step, towards the goal of streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency while enhancing the core role of the Trade Union organization in caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
With a streamlined apparatus, the Trade Union organization will have the opportunity to focus resources on key activities such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Worker's Month" ...; at the same time, promote digital transformation, modernize the method of operation to serve union members and workers more quickly and effectively.
Mr. Ha Duy Trung believes that, with the determination to innovate and the consensus of the team of Trade Union officials at all levels, this organization will contribute to building the new Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor to become a solid support, a trusted companion for union members and workers in the era of national development.
