From July 1, 2025, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor will officially operate according to the two-level trade union model. The Trade Union Working Committee is one of 10 specialized committees under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province.
Currently, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor directly manages 1,066 grassroots unions and grassroots unions with a total of 94,533 union members. This is a force transferred from the Labor Federations of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces after the merger, now under the Labor Federation of Lam Dong province.

The whole province has 124 communes, wards and special zones. The Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a Project to establish 17 trade unions at the commune, ward, and special zone levels and 13 inter-commune and ward trade unions. According to the project, communes, wards and special zones with 10 grassroots unions and 1,500 union members or more will have their own unions. In areas that are not qualified, inter-commune and ward trade unions will be established.
This project has been submitted by the Provincial Labor Federation to the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for consideration, comments and approval according to its authority. After the merger, to ensure the rights of union members and workers are not interrupted, the Provincial Federation of Labor has assigned officials in charge of the area, proactively grasping the situation and providing timely support to workers and laborers.
Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in the context of large areas and uneven distribution of enterprises, the Provincial Federation of Labor has quickly implemented key tasks and key solutions to improve the quality of trade union activities in the new period. In particular, priority is given to developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, aiming to cover the union organization in qualified enterprises, especially in the non-state sector.
The Provincial Federation of Labor also focuses on the grassroots, focusing on comprehensive care for workers. Each union cadre needs to know how to listen and understand the thoughts and aspirations of union members, thereby creating motivation, spreading a sense of responsibility, innovation and creativity throughout the system.
Protecting the rights and improving the welfare of union members and workers is identified as a key task. The Provincial Federation of Labor strengthens supervision of the implementation of labor laws, proactively supporting workers when disputes arise. At the same time, expand the "Union Member Welfare" program, mobilize resources to build a Union Shelter to support union members in difficulty, thereby affirming their representative role and a reliable support for the Union organization.
The provincial trade union also promotes the application of information technology, promotes digital transformation in trade union activities; launches emulation movements associated with improving digital capacity for cadres and union members.
With clear orientation, a spirit of innovation and high determination, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation is gradually affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the province with the largest area in the country.
