On July 8, information from the Director of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Culture House - Mr. Tran Duc Hai - said that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation had just had a working session with the unit.
The meeting took place right after the new Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation was established and officially put into operation. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.
According to Mr. Tran Duc Hai, at the meeting, the Provincial Labor Federation grasped the operation of the Labor Culture House; at the same time, directed the implementation of practical activities, in accordance with the requirements in the new period.
Currently, the Provincial Labor Culture House maintains 28 clubs operating in the fields of culture, sports, and entertainment, thereby attracting from 1,500 to 2,000 participants per day.
In addition, the unit regularly organizes sports tournaments, cultural and artistic festivals, creating a playground for exchanges between clubs, union members, and workers. The unit also coordinated with trade unions at all levels to spread the cultural and sports movement to the grassroots.
Another highlight is the "Union member welfare" program in collaboration with Gia Viet Saigon Clinic, which has examined, consulted, and distributed free medicine to more than 1,000 union members and workers with a total support value of more than 300 million VND.
Also at the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation proposed that the Labor Culture House continue to promote the results of 10 years of operation, towards sustainable development. In particular, the unit needs to innovate content and diversify forms, worthy of being a cultural, artistic and sports center of the Trade Union organization in the new situation.
The Labor Culture House is also assigned to serve the political tasks of the province well such as: Attracting workers and people to have fun, entertain, enjoy, and create a healthy culture; at the same time, fostering the core for the cultural and sports movement at the grassroots level.
