On January 9, the People's Public Security Trade Union (CAND) organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party", at the same time opened the "Trade Union Tet Market", summarized the work of caring for union members in 2024 and met with union members in the CAND who are in difficult circumstances.
Attending the Program were Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, Member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Major General Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security... and comrades, union officials and members in the People's Public Security.
The program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" in 2025 is organized with many practical and meaningful activities to better care for the material and spiritual life of union members.
The People's Public Security Union has proposed to give 2,460 Tet gifts to union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of more than 1.2 billion VND.
At the same time, direct each union branch to visit 1-2 union member families with especially difficult circumstances, with a minimum mobilized support fund of 4,000,000 VND/family.
Along with “Tet Sum Vay” is the program “Tet Union Market” with 36 booths and issuing 1,500 vouchers for union members in difficult circumstances and outstanding union members worth more than 300,000,000 VND to participate in shopping at the market.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung said: “Understanding the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers in the People's Public Security, in recent years the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has directed the People's Public Security Trade Union to proactively develop a plan to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay" and "Tet Union Market" to bring essential Tet products of good quality, at a discount compared to market prices to union members and workers in the People's Public Security.
At the same time, organize vehicles to take union members and workers back to their hometowns for Tet; organize cultural and artistic activities so that individuals who cannot return to their hometowns can reunite with friends and celebrate Tet warmly and happily.
Major General Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the Ministry of Public Security has directed the Public Security Trade Union to proactively develop a plan to organize the programs "Tet Sum Vay" and "Tet Union Market", actively coordinate with Party committees, authorities, and professionals to organize activities to care for Tet for union members and workers.
“It can be affirmed that over the past year, the Public Security Trade Union has made many efforts to innovate and improve the effectiveness of care activities, aiming at practical benefits for union members and workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances and those suffering from serious illnesses. Trade unions at all levels in the Public Security have promoted the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, and organized meaningful and humane activities, focusing on the grassroots level,” said Major General Nguyen Cong Bay.
