At the Block 26 Cultural House, Ky Lua Ward, Lang Son Province, Mr. Hoang Van Duong stood for quite a while in front of the comments box that had just been placed a few months ago. Not because the iron box is special, but because it has a QR code that he jokingly calls "technology stamp".
The road to the residential area has recently deteriorated, and every time there is heavy rain, water from above slopes down, making it extremely difficult for the elderly and children to move.
"In the past, if I wanted to report, I had to go to the ward or wait for a meeting of the residential group. Now I just put my phone up to scan the code, type a few lines and that's it" - Mr. Duong said. A few days later, he received a notice from the Ward Fatherland Front Committee about the handling plan.
Fast, clear and certain to have readers - he said confidently.
Mr. Duong's story is just one of many examples showing the changes taking place since the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province promoted the application of digital technology in the work of the Front.
On September 5, 2025, the province officially launched the Zalo OA model "Xu Lang Digital tran" combined with Zalo Mini App. This is an important step to celebrate the 18th Provincial Party Congress, while opening a new, more friendly and accessible connection channel between the Front - government - people.
With an intuitive interface, the application allows people to update information, follow movements, directly reflect all recommendations with map positioning and receive processing results right on the phone.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, affirmed that putting the model into operation not only aims to innovate propaganda work but also to expand the ability to listen to the voices of the people.
According to Mr. Tung, this model helps to reflect and make recommendations not only at meetings with voters or traditional documents, but can be sent from anywhere in the shortest time.
When people see their opinions being accepted and responded to transparently, their confidence will be strengthened, and the great national unity bloc will also become stronger, he emphasized.
Before the "Xu Lang Digital Front" in March 2025, the Provincial Fatherland Front deployed a model of contribution boxes with QR codes at commune, ward and village and street cultural houses.
From the first location in Hoang Van Thu ward, the whole province has arranged 55 boxes of comments.
According to Mr. Hua Viet Lam, Head of the Front Work Committee of Block 26, the installation of QR codes has helped people express their opinions more, especially young people.
In this era, everyone has a smartphone. One thing is to scan the code to send a petition, not to present it in front of a crowd or wait for a group meeting" - he said.
Many small problems that directly affect people's lives such as broken street lights, wastewater overflowing into alleys, or procedures related to social security have been received and resolved faster than before.
At the provincial level, the digital transformation process is also clearly demonstrated through the software for managing the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses deployed from May 2025.
This software helps synthesize, filter and track information of supported households in a public and transparent manner. To date, the whole province has completed support for 6,508/6,508 houses, putting them into use on schedule.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung said: The Provincial Fatherland Front will continue to promote comprehensive digitalization in daily work, from receiving electronic documents, digitizing professional documents, building a common data warehouse, organizing paperless meetings to enhancing propaganda through digital platforms. All to save time, improve the quality of service for people and increase the effectiveness of campaigns and movements".
