Strengthening protection of workers
After studying the Draft Report of the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor at the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026-2031, many opinions from union members and workers in Nghe An proposed to strengthen solutions to protect workers' rights.
In the context of increasingly complex labor relations, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation has proactively learned and researched solutions to improve the effectiveness of protecting union members and workers.

The Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation has just coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to organize a conference to exchange experiences on suing businesses owing trade union funds. At the conference, many practical experiences on lawsuit files, consolidating evidence, participating in litigation and protecting workers' rights were shared.
One of the typical cases mentioned is the case of Thu Duc District Labor Federation winning the lawsuit against Canh Dong Vang Co., Ltd. at both levels of trial, forcing the enterprise to pay more than 1.268 billion VND in trade union dues.
Not only focusing on legal work, the conference also exchanged many contents related to digital transformation in trade union activities, legal advice, and support for union members in the context of organizational structure arrangement and increased workload.

According to the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, from practical activities and after studying the Draft Report of the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor submitted to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031, many union members and workers expressed their desire that the report should further emphasize solutions to protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
Many opinions suggested that it is necessary to strengthen the supervision of labor law compliance at enterprises, especially regulations related to wages, social insurance, working conditions, occupational safety and health, and welfare regimes for workers.
I hope the report will emphasize and the Congress will focus on handling conflicts and disputes arising in labor relations. Workers want the Trade Union organization to quickly get involved, grasp the situation, dialogue, provide legal support and have timely and effective protection measures" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a worker at Luxshare ICT Nghe An Co., Ltd., shared.
Accompanying businesses and workers

According to statistics from the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, in 2025, the whole province has 650 units with trade union organizations, of which 468 units have contributed trade union funds with a total amount of about 170 billion VND, reaching a rate of about 72%.
Some businesses with a large number of union members well fulfilled their obligation to pay trade union dues such as Luxshare ICT Nghe An Co., Ltd. with 17,459 union members; Viet Glory Co., Ltd. with 8,450 union members; Luxshare ICT Nghe An II Company block with 7,637 union members.
However, the whole province still has 182 units that have not paid trade union fees, with a total amount of about 8 billion VND. According to the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, this partly affects the resources for caring for and supporting union members and workers.
Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - said that through studying the Draft Report submitted to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, a large number of union members and workers are particularly interested in contents related to protecting rights, especially the issue of salaries, wages, social insurance, health insurance and working conditions of workers.
Workers hope the report will be updated, analyzed in more detail and emphasize the task of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. On the local side, in the coming time, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation will continue to implement many positive and proactive solutions to care for and protect union members and workers" - Mr. Kha Van Tam emphasized.
