Mr. Kim Vinh Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that he was very impressed with the exchange and discussion program between the Prime Minister and delegates attending the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
According to Mr. Cuong, at this dialogue, the Prime Minister and Ministers raised the current situation of workers' lives in many fields such as health care, training policies, improving skills for workers, policies on rewarding workers, rental and purchased housing for workers...
Currently, PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. has about 45,000 workers, of which about 50% have to rent houses to live in people's boarding houses. In addition, every day, the company also organizes hundreds of bus trips to transport workers from neighboring provinces of Ho Chi Minh City to work at the company.
Therefore, when seeing the Party, State, and Ho Chi Minh City implementing the construction of millions of houses for workers to rent and rent-purchase, Mr. Cuong personally and the workers were very excited, because with the current income of workers, buying houses to own and live in is very difficult.
According to Mr. Cuong, when workers "settle down", they will be attached to the business; if the business is not affected by labor fluctuations, they will be assured to invest in developing production and business. And when businesses invest in developing production and business, workers' jobs are guaranteed and income is stable.
Recently, Ho Chi Minh City has coordinated with many businesses to sign programs to build houses for workers to rent and rent-purchase. The new point of these programs is that there are not only houses, but also a comprehensive ecosystem including kindergartens, schools for workers' children, medical examination and treatment facilities, commercial centers... to make the living space of workers more complete.
We really hope that the construction of houses for workers to rent and rent-purchase will soon enter life so that workers can enjoy the care policies of the Party and State for workers," Mr. Cuong said.
