On November 19, Mr. Le An Hai - Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union said that, implementing Plan No. 34/KH-TLD dated October 15, 2025 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Vietnam Trade Union has just issued a Plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the plan, the Vietnam Trade Union at all levels will deploy a variety of forms, creating a peak period of care and support for union members and workers; especially, paying attention to and supporting those in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, serious illnesses or job loss, contributing to stabilizing labor relations, ensuring social security; and welcoming the year of the Snake in the whole country with joy, excitement, safety and health.
Mobilize the attention of the whole society, especially employers in taking care of Tet for employees at enterprises, creating motivation and confidence for employees to stay with the enterprise, unit and trade union organization for a long time.
Linking Tet care activities with Party celebration and Spring celebration activities; welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party, term 2026 - 2031, National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031 and trade union congresses at all levels.
According to the leader of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, Tet care activities are mainly carried out at grassroots trade unions, focusing on union members and workers who are directly producing. In particular, priority is given to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, reduced working hours, job losses, unpaid wages and bonuses; union members and workers from policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; union members and workers who stay at their units and enterprises to work, produce and do business during Tet; union officials and union members who travel far away due to the reorganization of the apparatus of the political system at all levels.
The activities organized must demonstrate the mark and role of the trade union organization in caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026; in general, the resources and subjects caring for the Lunar New Year 2026 must be greater than previous years.
Activities to care for union members and workers at all levels of the union include outstanding activities such as organizing visits, giving gifts, and wishing union members and workers a happy New Year.
