Attending and giving a speech at the Congress, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - praised, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that the Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union at all levels have achieved in the past term.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu assessed that in the past term, Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have seriously and synchronously implemented many solutions to bring the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Trade Union Congress into life and achieved quite comprehensive results.
According to Mr. Hieu, the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers continues to be clearly affirmed. Notably, the team of union officials has paid real attention to collecting opinions from workers in participating in developing policies and laws; labor regulations, regulations of agencies and units; and collective labor agreements.
Social supervision and criticism work is valued; dialogue and collective bargaining activities have focused resources and achieved many positive results. In particular, welfare programs and care for the lives of union members and workers have been implemented methodically and effectively. During the term, 1.9 million union members and workers were taken care of with a total budget of more than 85 billion VND; 345 grassroots unions were supported with a budget of 15 billion VND. These are meaningful numbers, reflecting the substantial participation of the Trade Union organization.

Also according to the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, legal knowledge competitions organized by Thanh Hoa Trade Unions at all levels are being implemented seriously and effectively. Thanh Hoa and Nghe An are two localities that regularly win high prizes; Thanh Hoa won first prize nationwide in the contest to learn about the Law on Social Insurance and the Law of Trade Unions. This is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization, and education of union members and workers, contributing to maintaining basic and stable labor relations, without arising complicated hot spots.
Emulation movements are implemented promptly and substantially, closely linked to the development tasks of the province. Specifically, immediately after the province launched emulation movements to implement Resolution No. 58 of the Politburo, Thanh Hoa Trade Unions at all levels proactively implemented the movement "Workers, civil servants, and laborers pioneer in realizing the aspiration to build Thanh Hoa prosperous in the period of 2021-2030".

The initiative movement has been promoted, achieving high results compared to the national average. In less than one term, many collectives and individuals were nominated and awarded the Labor Medal. The positive changes in Thanh Hoa's socio-economic situation in recent years have had important contributions from the team of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union organizations.
Promoting the achieved results, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu suggested many important contents to send to the 21st Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union Congress.
Accordingly, Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Unions at all levels need to continue to do a better job of representing, caring for, and protecting workers in a more timely, richer, and more effective manner; at the same time, study the classification of policy beneficiaries for focused and key care.
In addition, it is necessary to promote the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots unions, especially in the enterprise sector; strongly innovate emulation movements associated with improving productivity, quality, and efficiency; arouse the spirit of initiative, innovation, application of science - technology and digital transformation.
Trade unions at all levels also need to participate in improving the quality of human resources, focusing on training, fostering skills, industrial style, labor discipline, occupational safety and hygiene; include training content and improving qualifications in collective labor agreements.
In particular, it is necessary to innovate the thinking and methods of Trade Union activities; identify Trade Union as a profession, both scientific and artistic; thereby harmoniously handling the relationship between employees and employers, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
