Proposal to stabilize rental prices
There are many recommendations from union members and workers sent to the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Da Nang City at the 1st Da Nang City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held on December 13.
According to the proposal, currently more than 50% of workers in industrial parks in Da Nang are from other provinces, with a large demand for housing, while rental prices are not regulated by the State.
Therefore, to help workers feel secure in their work, stay with the enterprise, and at the same time reduce the pressure on living expenses for workers, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Da Nang City have a policy for landlord business owners in the city to stabilize rental prices and reduce prices for workers living stably in the locality.
Or have a plan to arrange land funds for businesses with conditions to invest in building houses and dormitories for workers to solve the urgent need for housing for low-income workers and workers from other provinces.
At the same time, continue to study and approve the project to support funding for workers renting accommodation (the project has been developed and submitted by the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation since the beginning of 2025).
Regarding the issue of kindergartens and preschools in industrial parks, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Da Nang City pay attention to investing in public preschools in industrial parks to solve the need to send children of workers in the area.
To rectify the situation of law violations, as well as guide the implementation of legal regulations, union members and workers in Da Nang city requested the City People's Committee to direct the strengthening of inspection and examination work, resolutely handling administrative violations in the labor sector for enterprises that are sluggish and violate the law, ensuring the rights of workers.
Doubling loan sources
According to the recommendations of union members and workers in Da Nang City, at the 17th Congress of the Da Nang City Trade Union, based on the proposal of the union, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee decided to give the gift of a loan package of 50 billion VND to workers.
Currently, this capital is being effectively implemented for union members in difficult circumstances working at enterprises with grassroots trade unions under the Da Nang City Labor Federation according to Resolution No. 33/2024/NQ-HDND dated July 30, 2024 of the Da Nang City People's Council.
However, from July 1, 2025, the number of union members will increase due to the implementation of the policy of merging provinces and cities.
Therefore, union members and workers in the city suggest that the Da Nang City Party Committee continue to pay attention to directing the doubling of the capital entrusted through the City Social Policy Bank compared to before so that the City Labor Federation can continue to coordinate with the City Social Policy Bank to solve the need for loans with preferential interest rates for union members.
This is a capital source that contributes to solving the problem of illegal credit in the area, while supporting union members in difficult circumstances to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.
Request the People's Committee of Da Nang City and relevant agencies, departments and branches to periodically organize meetings, meetings and dialogues with workers, enterprises, and grassroots trade unions in industrial parks, to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations, resolve the concerns and recommendations of workers, employers, and trade union organizations.
