According to Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Tet Nguyen Dan Binh Ngo 2026 care activities are organized at three levels of trade unions, in accordance with the structure and actual conditions.

Activities are mainly concentrated at the grassroots level, deploying a smooth and harmonious combination of traditional and modern methods, especially the application of information technology and digital transformation in organizing care activities.

Programs such as "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "Trade Union Bus", "Trade Union Train", "Trade Union Flight", "Trade Union Year-End Meal"... not only bring material value but also spread profound spiritual meaning. Workers are comprehensively cared for, from ensuring income, Tet bonuses, to family reunion opportunities.

A noteworthy point is that care activities are all aimed at the right target audience: workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, suffer from occupational diseases, lost their jobs or have not had the conditions to return home for Tet for many years.

Stable funding, grassroots trade union proactively takes care of

Reality at businesses shows that when there is a stable source of trade union funds, grassroots trade unions can shift from a coping posture to "proactive care".

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that currently the company has about 6,325 employees, of which trade union members account for 90.0%.

With a large workforce, Trade Union funds are reasonably allocated to many groups of activities: Visiting sick people, supporting difficulties, organizing culture - sports, legal propaganda... All are carried out publicly, transparently and closely following the actual needs of workers.

During Tet, the company's Trade Union ensures that 100% of union members have gifts, and at the same time provides additional support for difficult cases. Coordinating with businesses to ensure Tet bonuses and salaries on schedule helps employees feel much more secure" - Mr. Hai shared.

Also according to the Trade Union chairman, Trade Union funds are used to organize periodic dialogues with employers, participate in building and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements, provide legal advice and support to employees when necessary, and train and improve the capacity of Trade Union officials. Thereby contributing to protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of employees. Mr. Phan Thanh Hai said that when the Trade Union fund source is stable, it helps grassroots Trade Unions proactively develop long-term and methodical care plans.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Huy Sang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. - said that trade union funds are used flexibly, not only for social security activities such as funerals, weddings, and illnesses, but also contribute to organizing connection programs such as "Year End Party". For this program alone, the Trade Union has supported more than 500 million VND for cultural activities, games, booths, lucky draws...

Trade union funds are also a "lever" to help perform the function of representing and protecting the rights of employees. Periodic dialogues, collective labor agreement negotiations, legal advice... all require financial resources for systematic and effective implementation. Mr. Sang said that having stable Trade Union funds brings many very clear advantages for grassroots Trade Unions in caring for union members. Practice shows that Trade Union funds are a direct resource that brings benefits to employees. Effectively using this fund not only helps improve the material and spiritual life of union members but also strengthens the representative role of the Trade Union organization in labor relations. Trade Union funds - therefore, are not only a financial foundation, but also a measure of operational efficiency and the level of employee attachment to the Trade Union organization.

Trade unions do not leave anyone behind

Not only are they large-scale programs, Trade Union funds also clearly show value through each specific circumstance. Recalling the time when he was supported with 20 million VND to repair his degraded house, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen - who used to work as a worker at Professional Sports Fashion Joint Stock Company (Giao Thuy commune, Ninh Binh) could not hide his emotion.

The male worker said that when he intended to repair the house to ensure safety for his family, he was encouraged and supported by the company's Trade Union and local authorities, so he was even more determined to complete it early to be ready for Tet. Thanks to the support of 20 million VND, the house was repaired in 1 month. "Being helped by the Trade Union, I am very touched because I was not left behind. Financial pressure when repairing the house also eased" - Mr. Tuyen said.

As for Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, when recalling the time he was supported with more than 120 million VND from the Trade Union of Amara Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd. (Co Le, Ninh Binh) and the local Trade Union, he is still emotional and expresses gratitude. After a serious accident, his mother passed away, and he was seriously injured. In just 3 days, the Trade Union and colleagues raised a large amount of money to help his family overcome the upheaval.

For Mr. Huong: "Trade unions are like a second home. In the most difficult times, we are not left behind". Such stories are not isolated, showing that trade union funds are not just numbers but also sharing, belief and spiritual support for workers.
