In 2024, trade unions at all levels in the province will proactively coordinate with the authorities, professional colleagues, units and enterprises to organize activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; fully implement policies and regimes for workers, especially salaries and bonuses for workers on the occasion of holidays, Tet, Workers' Month, and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, thereby encouraging workers to actively work, produce and work well, comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies, contributing to socio-economic development, stabilizing the security, political situation, and social order and safety in the province.
In 2024, the labor relations situation in enterprises was stable. However, there were 2 labor disputes and collective work stoppages in the province.
The first incident occurred at Ruixing Vietnam Co., Ltd., under the Tien Lu District Labor Federation (shoe manufacturing). On June 18, 2024, more than 100/412 employees of the Company stopped working because the Company paid monthly salaries on the 15th of the Gregorian calendar, but by June 18, the employees had not received their May salaries and there was no notice.
In addition, the workers also made recommendations: The restrooms were cramped, the working conditions were not guaranteed... Immediately after the incident, the Tien Lu District Labor Union stepped in, coordinating with the company to resolve the matter. After listening to the company's leadership's promise to pay May's salary on June 19 and respond to the workers' recommendations, on June 19, the workers agreed and returned to work.
The second incident occurred at Coporation Vina Co., Ltd. (Trung Trac Commune, Van Lam District, Hung Yen Province). At 8:00 a.m. on August 12, 2024, 70/1,291 employees of the company stopped working because they did not agree with the basic salary increase according to the Company's announcement (For workers classified as A, it is 150,000 VND/month, classified as B, it is 120,000 VND/month, and the remaining categories are 100,000 VND/month). The representative of the employees said that this increase was too low, so they proposed that each category increase by 100,000 - 200,000 VND.
Upon learning of the incident, the Hung Yen Provincial Federation of Labor directed the Van Lam District Federation of Labor to grasp the situation; At 10:00 a.m. the same day, the Company's leaders held a dialogue with the workers. As a result, by 3:00 p.m. on August 12, 2024, the General Director agreed to hold a meeting and promptly issue a notice of the dialogue results and the workers returned to work as usual.
