Mr. Pham Viet Cong - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Thap province said that in 2024, many businesses in the area will still maintain paying wages to employees at levels equal to or higher than the regional minimum wage.
This is considered a great effort by enterprises in the context of recovering production and business after a long period of being severely affected. In particular, enterprises in the private sector apply the lowest salary level of 3.5 million VND/person/month. Next is foreign-invested enterprises with 4 million VND/person/month.
Similarly, enterprises belonging to the State-controlled joint stock and capital-contributing companies and enterprises belonging to One-member LLCs with 100% of charter capital held by the State (including central enterprises located in localities) are 4.3 and 4.1 million VND/person/month, respectively.
Mr. Cong also said that in 2024, there will be no businesses in Dong Thap province that owe wages.
