Bringing many benefits to union members
From early morning, Ms. Huong goes to the kitchen with staff to prepare drinking water for workers. In the middle of the day, she and members of the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union inspect and supervise the quality of meals. This regular activity helps ensure the quality and hygiene of lunch meals for us workers" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Ly (42 years old) shared.
According to Ms. Ly, thanks to the dynamic female CĐCS Chairwoman, employees at the company enjoy many welfare policies. Prominent is the "Trade Union Meal" activity for more than 1,000 workers, with many delicious meals, which is an opportunity to strengthen sharing and mutual understanding.
The leader of the grassroots trade union is also always concerned about how to improve income for workers, so that workers have more funds to cover their lives. During the 2026 Lunar New Year, Ms. Huong proposed that the company organize a year-end party for all workers. At the program, workers were drawn to win cash prizes with a total value of 1.5 billion VND.
Each person will be given a lucky draw to win a minimum cash prize of 600,000 VND and a maximum of 10 million VND. The grassroots trade union also gives each union member a Tet gift. To reduce Tet expenses for union members, Ms. Huong proposed to the company to organize a "0-dong Tet Market" for 1,500 workers to benefit.
In the context of rising prices of many items greatly affecting workers' lives, Ms. Le Thi Huong and the grassroots trade union have proposed to the company to increase the basic salary. Currently, the basic salary of employees and allowances is 8.5 million VND/person/month. If working overtime, employees have an average income of 9-14 million VND/month.
Helping many workers in difficult circumstances
At Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City), within the enterprise premises, there is a small supermarket. This is a "Trade Union supermarket model" from the idea of Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the company's grassroots trade union. Ms. Nhung said that after consideration, she proposed that the enterprise build a supermarket right in the company to supply essential goods to employees at preferential prices. The model meets the criteria of convenience, quality and economy, so the Board of Directors agreed to deploy and apply it first in Di An, then expand it to branches in My Phuoc Industrial Park (Ben Cat, Ho Chi Minh City).

With the responsibility of Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union at the company, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung tries to acknowledge all contributions of employees and then advises and proposes to the company's leadership to resolve them. Notably, Ms. Nhung and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union boldly proposed to the Board of Directors to build a kindergarten for workers' children. Currently, the kindergarten is supporting the nurturing of hundreds of children of workers at the factory in Ben Cat.
In addition, Ms. Nhung and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union received the wishes of union members and proposed to the company to invest in completing a mid-shift break area for workers. The project has a roof to shelter from rain and sun. Below is a wooden table system with seating cushions.
Notably, at the enterprise, whenever a worker unfortunately suffers from a serious illness, Ms. Nhung and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union always stand up to mobilize union members to join hands to support. In June 2026, Ms. Nhung and the grassroots trade union mobilized support for female worker T.T. T.Q (born in 2004, permanently residing in Can Tho city). Ms. Q suffers from a serious illness, her family is in difficulty, and hospital fees are beyond their ability to pay. After sending the message, all workers raised 230 million VND to support Ms. Q. According to Ms. Nhung, in the same way, the unit has supported many cases of serious illness. On average, each union member in particularly difficult circumstances is supported with about 200 million VND. Thanks to that, workers have funds to cover expenses, medicine, gradually stabilize their health, and rise up in life.
