Having been attached to Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) for many years, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union is always dedicated to the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Her practical proposals and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union have contributed to improving income, working conditions and spiritual life for thousands of workers.
The outstanding mark of female Trade Union officials is their role in coordinating with the Board of Directors to successfully organize employee conferences. Through dialogue and negotiation, many policies that are more beneficial to employees have been proposed and included in the Collective Labor Agreement.
From the proposal of the female Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union, the Tet bonus of employees has gradually been increased. In 2022, the Tet bonus level was 1.4 months' salary, in 2023 the Tet bonus level was 1.8 months' salary, in 2024 the Tet bonus level increased to 2.0 months' salary, in 2025 the bonus level increased to 2.4 months' salary (including basic salary and allowances).
In addition, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung is also interested in improving working conditions and workers' lives. The female Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union has repeatedly proposed increasing the value of meal portions, supporting bus costs for workers to return to their hometowns, building kindergartens in the company premises and maintaining the Trade Union supermarket with selling prices 10-20% lower than the market.
In particular, for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, Ms. Nhung and the Trade Union Executive Committee always proactively investigate, visit and mobilize timely support. From 2023 to now, 18 particularly difficult cases have been helped with nearly 4 billion VND.
For employees who do not have the conditions to return to their hometowns for Tet, the grassroots trade union will organize a meeting at the end of the year, visit and give gifts to each employee, each gift includes 500,000 VND in cash and a gift basket worth 300,000 VND...
Trade union official concerned about workers' health
Working at Rochdale Spears Co., Ltd. (Binh Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Mai Van Can holds the position of Senior Manager of the Safety, Health, and Environment department of the company. In 2025, he was trusted by union members and employees to be elected as Vice Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union.
Taking on the above two positions, Mr. Mai Van Can is always concerned about how to make workers have good health and feel secure in sticking with the business for a long time. From that thought, he proposed and chaired the implementation of a model for caring for and improving the health of workers right at the factory.
I have proposed this model and established a process for inspection, consultation, health care, and free medicine distribution at the workplace. Coordinating with the Binh Duong Youth Center to organize occupational health counseling at enterprises" - Mr. Can said.
