Raising the national flag, uniting all forces to fulfill the historic mission of national independence
The history of the Trade Union organization states: On February 3, 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded. Under the leadership of the Party, the Red Trade Union gathered the boatmen and the main army of the Vietnamese revolution, creating the Soviet-Nghe Tinh climate from 1930 to 1931.
At the end of 1931, the struggle movement of the Vietnamese working class was brutally oppressed by the French colonialists, most of the Party cadres and the Red Trade Union were arrested by the enemy, causing the connection between the Party and the masses, the Red Trade Union and the workers' movement to be almost interrupted. In that situation, despite the strict control of the French colonialists, the Red Club still actively propagates, mobilizes workers, and develops organizations. From 1932 to 1936, the revolutionary movement in the whole country began to recover.
From 1936, 2019, the Red Labor Union was renamed the Friendship Union and switched to the period of public sales activities. Thanks to the flexible organization, suitable to the situation, the workers' movement at this stage is still developing strongly. In September 3, the second world war broke out, the French colonialists surrendered and reached a thoa thuanement with the Japanese occupiers to resolutely suppress the democratic movement against war of our people, and exercise the rights to trade union freedoms. In that situation, the Aity Union had to withdraw to secret activities and take the name "Anti-imperial Workers' Union", in 1941 changed to "National Workers' Union" as the core for the activities of the Viet Minh organization.
Under the leadership of the Party, the Trade Union organization is truly the center of solidarity for Vietnamese workers. With over 20,000 people in 1945, union members became the core force that successfully carried out the August 1945 Revolution, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first Agricultural State in Southeast Asia.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen An Ninh (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) said: Before August 1945, there was a major campaign of the Viet Minh Front that attracted a lot of forces in its heart. Since December 12, the Viet Minh Front's organizations have been established and developed rapidly in all provinces and cities, in factories and schools. The national rescue congress - the name of the union organization at that time was present in all factories, mines and vocational schools. Names that have become familiar to history such as the Gia Lam Railway Factory Festival (Hanoi), AVIA Automobile Repair Factory, Truong Thi Railway Factory in Vinh (Nghe An), factories, plantations in the South... together with other national rescue organizations of the masses, have made the strength of the national liberation movement.
At that time, the Vietnamese working class, although not yet large in number, for the common cause of the entire nation, as President Ho Chi Minh assessed, "was the most courageous, revolutionary force and always at the forefront of the struggle". Under the leadership of the Party - the front line of the working class and the Vietnamese people, along with the great national unity bloc, the core of which are patriotic and national-saving organizations, the strength of the Vietnamese working class has been multiplied many times.
Along with our forerer team, the Communist Party, the working class and the Trade Union have raised the national flag, united all forces to fulfill the historic mission of national independence - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen An Ninh emphasized.
Why are workers the leading class of the revolution? This question was explained by President Ho Chi Minh himself in the work " Political regularity", consisting of 50 sections, first published by the Truth Publishing House in 1954 under the pen name D.X. President Ho Chi Minh wrote: The revolutionary characteristics of the working class are: Resolutely, thoroughly, collectively, with organization, with discipline. Because it is the most advanced class in productive power, responsible for overthrowing the capitalist and Imperial regime, to build a new society, the working class can absorb the most revolutionary ideology, that is, Marxism-Leninism. At the same time, their fighting spirit affects and educates other classes. Therefore, in terms of politics, ideology, organization and action, the working class all play a leading role.
Overcoming hardships with the nation
The Vietnamese working class has affirmed its position as the revolutionary leadership class through its own party, the Communist Party of Vietnam. Through the revolutionary stages, the working class has always accompanied the nation, enthusiastically responded to patriotic emulation movements, fought for national liberation, national reunification, building and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
Immediately after the success of the August Revolution, especially after the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was officially established (July 20, 1946) on the basis of unifying the "National Workers' Union" of the three regions, the Vietnamese working class affirmed its position as the revolutionary leadership class through its own party, the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In the resistance war against French colonialism, workers participated in the fight to protect the production facilities of the revolutionary government, participated in construction sites, townhouses and launched sabotage attacks on important economic facilities of the French colonialists in the area; carried out the task of building weapons production facilities, transporting machinery to safe places. During this period, many workers' movements were launched and brought practical significance, such as: "Increasing domestic production of weapons", "Increasing domestic production, self-sufficiency in dressing", "Active emulation, preparing for a total counterattack", "Active preparation for a total counterattack", ... to encourage all workers to complete their tasks, serve the fight, and actively contribute to the victory of the mighty Dien Bien Phu in five continents, shook the world, and end the glorious 9 years of resistance against the French colonialists full of sacrifice, hardship and bravery of the Vietnamese people.
During the years of building socialism in the North, leading the resistance war against the US to save the country in the South. In the North, carrying out the national reconstruction, with the responsibility of the owner of the country, the team of workers and civil servants has promoted production, practiced thrift, and combated waste.
During the General Offensive and Uprising of the Spring and Market of 1968 and the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, the Liberation Union mobilized workers and civil servants in urban areas to rise up simultaneously, coordinate with armed forces to destroy the enemy, and contribute with the entire Party, people, and army to completely liberate the South and unify the Fatherland.
In the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland, emulation movements for production labor, promoting initiatives and technical improvements among workers and civil servants, including workers and defense workers, have created positive changes, many advanced examples and new factors have been formed, contributing greatly to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Comrade Pham The Duyet - former Standing Member, Permanent Member of the Politburo, former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front concluded: Under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese working class has always enthusiastically taken the lead in the revolutionary cause and operated in the right direction, contributing to the victories in the revolutionary stages of our country. The Communist Party of Vietnam is a pioneer of the working class, and at the same time a pioneer of the working people and the Vietnamese nation; a loyal representative of the interests of the working class, the working people and the nation.
