Always remind yourself to be a Party member
As an industrial garment worker, 18 years ago, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Chung - Sewing line captain, An Thinh Garment Enterprise (under An Hung Joint Stock Company, Phu Yen province) was admitted to the Party. Over time, with the spirit of being a Party member before her, Ms. Chung has always been ready to take on new and difficult tasks.
One of the biggest marks is the first application of the streamlined production model (Lean), a method that requires workers to change their working mindset. In 2018, the Company wanted to apply it, so Ms. Chung boldly accepted to do a pilot.
With only a few dozen female workers with different qualifications in hand, Ms. Chung chose the way of "having a hard time, taking a long time". With personal determination and encouragement from colleagues, a year later, Ms. Chung's pilot Lean model was successful and replicated throughout the company. Thereby, contributing to changing the face of labor and enterprises.
As a role model in life, Ms. Chung always builds a constantly creative working style for herself. In particular, during the COVID-19 epidemic, when the movement to develop initiatives among workers was launched by the trade union, Ms. Chung and her colleagues successfully manufactured feltproof plates for the mask sewing process. This initiative saves the Company more than 250 million VND to buy specialized equipment; the initiative improves the sewing process, helping to reduce 175 seconds/process, the savings value for the product code is more than 85 million VND...
Working at an enterprise with a rate of female workers directly involved in production of over 75%, Ms. Chung always pays great attention to improving the skills of female workers. As a head receiver, Ms. Chung uses good workers to directly guide and train new workers with the motto "hold hands, show work" and "learn from each other"...
Contributing to building the Party in the hearts of workers
Ms. Thanh Chung became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam at a relatively young age. I still remember the feeling of standing in the ranks of Party members in a spirit of excitement and pride. And until now, the emotions are still intact. I always take time to share with young workers to inspire pride in becoming a Party member from a worker. My own results today from work to family all have the mark of a Party member and the exemplary spirit motivates me to try harder" - Ms. Chung said.
According to Mr. Dang Ngoc Anh - Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial Federation of Labor, developing the Party among union members is an extremely important political task. Since the beginning of the term, the Provincial Federation of Labor has organized signings with district and city Party committees to closely coordinate with relevant units to select outstanding union members to introduce to attend classes for Party members. At the same time, he assigned Party members to pair up, help, and build outstanding union members worthy of standing in the ranks of the Party.
As a result, in 2024, the target of developing Party members in Phu Yen's trade union reached over 150% compared to the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Building the Party in the hearts of workers is identified by us as the political task of each trade union level. In which, propaganda is the top priority task. In the new era - the era of national growth, Phu Yen trade unions at all levels have innovated their methods of operation, to unanimously organize and build a strong Party member force, meeting the requirements of the task" - Mr. Anh said.
